I dont really understand it either but those that are promoted through that SM rookies thing before debut are put on the site, Yeri was promoted through it hence the reason why she is there. Idk Its just confusing.. lol Yeri was in SMRookies before and that's why SM added her in it. For whatever reason, Joy is not in that program. Maybe, she is that special trainee. But one thing for sure, she is hand-picked by Lee Sooman to be included in Red Velvet. (Lee Sooman really know a person with a star quality) So, in my opinion, she is the trainee that was included directly to the "debut team project" without even has to be included in "SMRookies".
