Janelle Monáe naming her second studio album, "The Electric Lady," is no joke. The songstress unveiled the cover artwork for the album, which features her dressed in futuristic attire as if she came from the latest “Star Trek†movie.

Monáe also revealed the official track listing for the album, which will include appearances from the likes of Prince, Erykah Badu, Miguel, Solange and Esperanza Spalding. Talk about a futuristic, R&B overload.

 

"The Electric Lady" drops Sept 10 but is currently available for pre-order at Amazon. Check out the track listing below.

Janelle Monae is going to be accompanied by Prince, Erykah Badu, Solange, Miguel, and Esperanza Spalding for The Electric Lady! The Electric Lady has already proven to be quite the unique and fun record especially after the release of both Dance Apocalyptic and Queen, which were both excellent acts that perfectly suit and showcase the style and music that Janelle has been releasing all of these years. We've already heard a bit of mixing of Queen from Prince but it's going to be interesting to see his contribution to Give Em What They Love. Her cover is a bit reminiscent of Blade Runner, which makes me that much more excited for the release.
