What do you think about EXO Next Door (script, acting, characters, etc...)

I will be honest here. I think the script is like a typical Korean drama: boy moves next door, boy likes girl but act cold, two boys like the same girl, second boy is nicer than the first one, but of course girl likes the cold one more, girl is too dense to know what's going on, then it turns out boy and girl were childhood friends,... - exactly the kind of story I want to avoid; I mean, how many times have you seen this kind of story? I watched the drama just because I want to see EXO's acting. Well their acting was not bad, I mean I could see the characters when they act.

And I will admit that I'm jealous of the girl. I wish a boy would look at me the way Kyungsoo looks at her (sorry, FA here xD), but I won't hate on Moon Ga Young or anything. I know she was just doing her job, and my idols' love life is not my business. I would even root for a kiss scene haha

The script: Cheesyyyy

 

Acting: Chanyeol is awkward. The others are... okay i think. Sehun is a natural but need to be proven further.

The girl is a lil bit over the top but she is fine i guess.

 

Characters: They are just themselves. So nothing to comment here. The brother is hillarious though.

D.O acting is good, script could be better

 

Chanyeol : bad ver of Lee Min Ho from Heirs and Boy over Flowers , tragic

 

Sehun : best part of the show, didnt expect it 

 

Kai : not bad , which is good for him,  more natural than chanyeol and that says alot

 

Baek : cringe

 

Also xiumin deserve  a better role

the acting: sehun is good, and his storyline is the best. baekhyun isn't bad either. chanyeol's appearance causes me physical pain, his acting is that bad. 

 

the girl: goddamn, she's hot. hotter than all of the exo members put together. i ship me and her  :hurr:

I think it should more campy instead of cheesy and sometimes srs business. A completely different storyline would be nice.

 

Sehun and the brother are funny, and Kyungsoo, in the scenes he can somewhat work with the material, shows he's a natural actor (though I think he feels kind of awkward acting with his members)

Kyungsoo: Acting is fine but his character is so mehh. He manage with what he could get I guess.

Sehun: Has potential. His character is the best hands down. 

Chanyeol: Honestly tragic... stiff and awkward. Practice more Chanyeol !  :)

Baekhyun: Too much exaggeration but so little screen time to judge on. Will hold my judgement first. 

Kai: Okay-ish but nothing too impressive. He need bigger role in the future. 

 

 

Script is just a disaster. I can't help myself cringing at the childhood tales and grandpa's mission stuff. Lack dept and characterization as well. On fair note, it's a web drama so it's understandable.

The storyline is very cringey but fun nonetheless. Typical kdrama plot with typical kdrama characters. Their acting are not that bad but they all have their awkward moments except Sehun(not that awkward). He makes it more interesting and i want a spin off with just him and kwangsoo.

Btw, I haven't watched Flower Boy Next Door yet. Was it good?

 

Flowe Boy Next Door is great, especially bc of "Enrique". Just check the cut and I bet you'll start start watching the drama tomorrow lol :lol:

Chanyeol's character doesn't suit him so he's ok at times, but stiff at others..

D.O.'s character is too subtle with his expressions so for that his acting is alright but I wish he would speak louder

Sehun's character he has his own storyline which is fun, and his acting matches

Baekhyun's character is simply there for comedic relief, which is why he exaggerates a bit to provide laughs, he's ok

I like Ga Young's acting and character, but she blushes too much lol the (visual/sound) effects when she gets embarrassed are cringe worthy lol

Firstly I'll say EXODUS TEASER WILL BE BETTER PLOT THAN THIS THING!!!!

 

For 10ish mins drama, it's so boring...

Skip here and there, everywhere... and it's just 10ish mins

Glad it's not an hour like drama normally has...

Too much randomness... I can't...

They hate using BGM...

Plot isn't grow anywhere, and it's already in episode 10...

Don't compare it with Flower Boy Next Door, this one is nothing... There's no Kim Seulgi here, and have too much better plot... /just sayin/

I would've enjoyed it if they hadn't shoved this girl in the middle and all for fangirl purposes, just so they can think that could be them... as if. I wish it were just Exo being dumb, going on adventures and the like. Now that would've been great!

 

The irony of the plot kills me to the point where, Suho sprained his ankle and not only did he take time off to recover (LOL) they also canceled a world tour and they also have time off. In the real world, Suho would be on stage with crutches or sitting on a chair like Tao. Such joke.
