I think what makes it harder for groups like AoA to become bigger is the company-biased people that tend to favor the big 3 more as well as I feel that in kpop, in order for someone to be fan of group A, he must hate group B.

 

If someday the fandom gets rid of these ways of reasoning, more groups will have better chances to grow.

hmm kinda i think,,beside of that, coz those 3 big companies has big influence and good relation, they have better marketing than smaller agency

that's why their artist got more job on tv that makes them more popular than group like aoa thou not much quality difference, coz they get more attention

 

i think the only way to break that wall is they have to come with very2 good music

Those article about Seolhyun really put me off. I don't understand how can people be that 'Dumb'. I really hate those kind of articles, I mean why would you do those comparison anyway. But, on the other side I'm glad. It feels like people acknowledged her as a pretty famous figure that's why they use her name for the comparison. Just wish for the best for both girls.

I am with you, I am not a FNC Stan and I can't even say I like CEO Han but I would say I respect his business acumen

That is because from where I am standing after CEO Han made the terrible mistakes he did with FTI and CNB and basically brought his company on the verge of bankruptcy 

I can't rightly say nor point out a single instance where he has done something which at the end didn't benefit his company and the artists in within it. 

 

Me too when I finally got into K-pop it became fascinating to me to try to understand how this K-pop culture functions, survives and is able to generate profit for themselves in a saturated market. 

And for that I had to understand SME since they are the most profitable K-pop company,

JYP and FNC  because they are the companies who carried the acts I like and by extension I got to learn about YGE

It was all easy, fun and eye opening since I love research and I have to understand everything about anything I am interested in. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I agree the statement was a calculated PR move on his end, nothing more nothing less. 

He and the YG CEO are not that different when it comes to how they used the media and media play 

 

And you are absolutely right that is what CEO Han wanted all along to put that Idea in people's head that FNC could be a threat to anyone in the Big 3. 

And now all he has to do is work and see if he is able to have one of his artist blow up so he can finally be accepted or just continue to say what he is saying because he is not lying money talks and he has the receipts just not the an act who has taken over the country yet. 

FNC and CEO Han at the end of the day since they aren't in the Big 3 yet they don't lose anything but they stand to gain a lot if they are able to prove themselves.

if it's done right any song can do well. WG's new song is a band concept and it's well accepted. Hyukoh is a band too and you can see how much Korea like their songs

CNBLUE's decline in physical sales have nothing to do with them being a band. it was first time after 5 years it might be due to various reasons ( long hiatus, song is not in trend, etc)

 

FNC should try out again and i do think they want to do so

if not sooner the band subunit will be totally forgotten. FNC's root is from producing bands and the girls skills will be wasted just like that.

i do think the upcoming comeback might be like their elvis and get out concepts. dual promotion alternating between perfs

sure their basic talent is band,,no doubt

but imo, i won't risk it as main track considering their popularity level atm

i'd try that as 2nd track 1st to see public reaction

so....yeah maybe they'll promote 2 songs, sexy 1 and band

so I had told you guys Ace of Angels had reached 27k after I saw the oricon thread but I think I made a mistake   sorry

bc the Hallyu in Japan thread just updated and they have different figures  : 22,744

 

HA is still AOA's best selling Japanese release with over 26k. It is harder to sell more full albums since they cost more $$ so they probably made more money with Ace of Angels. 

at least seems AOA has solid fanbase already in japan,,their last 2 sales always above 20k

imo OH Boy MV is great, but that song still weaker than heart attack so i won't surprised if later HA still higher

wondering how the marketing strategy, but comparin with other agency, SM often sell very high number album sales :hammer:
