♩ ♪ ♫ ♬ 730
possibly a silly question.. so my friend was sitting at a cafe with her laptop & a stranger begged her to let him charge his iphone through her laptop.. she didn't think of it much & said yes but now she's worried he might have done something like hacking into her laptop or stealing her files.. is such a thing possible? (i mean why would he pick her to hack into tho..? like he has so much time to just walk everywhere hacking into people's laptops one by one?) A Boy Like Troy 3,333
He probably picked her because she had a computer. It's possible to hack computers without even touching them now. You can hack them just by connecting to the same wi-fi.
s4a 13,715
Maybe if it's jailbroken and he happened to put an app on his phone that let him get past the trust settings on your computer that you have to accept to let him connect, iTunes security and Windows security in order for him to access files on the phone. If he was that good, he'd just hack the free public wifi and get your computer that way. You never know but it's more likely that he had a USB cable but no charger and needed a computer to charge quickly.

Nowhere Boy 2,431
It's possible, but I doubt he did anything. Download Avast for antivirus.

jessyy 219
I don't think he would do anything if he just connected his phone without you accepting access and stuff to the laptop. Now you can just get through to devices through the wifi hotspot so don't worry about it that much. If you want to scan through the laptop I would suggest Avast and with Avast you can choose to scan certain files and websites as well :D Hope this helps
LaY_Yaa 3,316
Anything is possible. Just saying. Not trying to scare your friend tho. But, be cautious. Reminds me of the Healer drama. Just connect a phone to a PC and you can hack into it. LOL. Sorry, I am too obsessed of Healer.
onieyez 425
yea anything is possible that's why you shouldn't let strangers plug their USB's into your computer either or plug in USB's that you find laying around
Giselle Queen Mina Knight 387
My question is if he was going to hack the computers why not just hack the public WiFi is faster and easier not to say also more secure if he was that good but like S4a said is best if your friend just scan her computer fully check the computer fully by opening up her file management and check if there's anything she doesn't recognise.
