Is K-pop creative enough?

With my time spent as a kpop follower for a pretty decent amount of time. I've come to realize that most groups create the same music, same type of mvs and etc. Most of the times these groups may use what the really popular groups did to become famous and no one stands out anymore. Most fans only follow groups they like and are not too keen on listening to some rookies groups ( I'm just assuming  here). So do you think Kpop is creative and if not what are some new things you want kpop to add on. Don't take it too seriously

Not really

They sound the same because they all use the same producers

They look the same; damn that Jeremy Scat and all those knockoffs

Concepts are copied so blatantly

etc.

but idk, the generic-ness is basically the charm of kpop

Yes it is, concept wise. Music on the other hand can sometimes be recycled and boring.

I think its creative compared to American Music...

But i do agree that groups do recycle concepts that other groups have done in the past......

I listen to Rookies...

I don't believe you  have listened to much American music, if that is your claim.

I personally think that BAP's debut concept was extremely creative and flawlessly executed.

But Kpop as a whole could be a little more creative, although not many people like Kpop for it's creativity.

the question is highly dependent on who and what you refer to

if you refer to the entire genre of Kpop, yes the bright music videos, infectious hooks, the community behind Kpop and the nature of the artists, is pretty creative and unique (i use this term very, very loosley dont kill me)

But if you mean within Kpop, then no, because what 80-90% of the groups pretty much put out the same thing

No. But the concept of crayon pop is very creative (dancing queen, bing bing and barbarbar)

Came into this thread to post that.  Crayon Pop's like a much needed breath of fresh air for kpop (which has become way too serious).

It re-introduces an element which was present previously but has been lacking in recent kpop songs: FUN!   :ahmagah:

It depends on who you listen too..most are the same but some of them are trying new and it turn ou amazingly well...but again I only listen to my bias groups so I didn't know much about how other sounds as they seems pretty boring..mostly rookies and some top tier...

Nope. What I wanna see is a girl group that can really dance. I feel like the girls always get the easier choreography. The only female in Kpop (that I know of) that is truly a strong dancer is BoA. Give me a group of BoA's that can do the same choreo as EXO, SHINee, Infinite, DBSK, etc and I'll be happy. And no aegyo!

Give this man an award, holy shit. If people think K-Pop is uncreative, I really don't know what's wrong with you.

I can admit, K-Pop can be trend hopping, but not even CLOSE to as much as American music. Especially the modern rap.

Yes. If this happened my life would be complete.
