No idea if I got this right, I tried though even though I've

never herd of the person who is known for this quote nor do I have anything to

go on. Could be 100% wrong but it's my interpretation 

 

People with dark souls have nothing but dark dreams.

They dream of seeing and possibly doing dark things

but still have to deal with the reality of "our" world,

dark could mean a number of different things and they are less likely

to possible act upon their dark desires 

 

People with really dark souls do nothing but dream. 

 

They are not in check with reality and live in their dreams

what could happen in real life has no effect on them nor do they live in "our" 

world but another where they make the rules. They are more likely

and willing to act upon their dark desires because the do nothing but dream and 

possibly reject reality.

I think it have simillar meaning to idiom "iddle hands are the devil's workshop"

People who are filled with dark thoughts and feelings only have dark/evil dreams and desires. People who are entirely filled with negative thoughts and feelings are so out of touch with reality that they exist in their own world revolved around their way of thinking.

 

Maybe? I don't know.

The writer is obviously talking about how difficult he finds Dark Souls to the point where he keeps rage quitting but keeps coming back for more, basically the game has made him its bitch.
