K-pop boy group INFINITE members perform at the Seoul leg of their first world tour “One Great Step,†held in Seoul, Korea on August 9, 2013.

 

INFINITE members have mentioned the surprising movement their agency made yesterday.
INFINITE members showed their mind regarding the issue during the talk session following the encore performance of the first Seoul show of their world concert tour “One Great Step†last night. “You INSPIRIT [iNFINITE’s official fan club’s name] should get the credit for our current position, but I always feel sorry for you and other INFINITE members that I’m incompetent in many ways. I also feel grateful for our members to go through all sorts of hardships,†leader Sungkyu recovered his speech.He went on to relieve fans’ worries that, “It looks like many people have a misunderstanding and I feel sad about it. We’re not going to change and keep pursuing better and improved music.Nothing is going to be changed.â€

 

The news came out Friday afternoon that INFINITE’s agency WoollimEntertainment is set to be merged
with SM C&C, a subsidiary company of SM Entertainment, bringing bothconcerns and expectations to the group’s fans in and out of Korea.

Member Sungyeol said it more bluntly that, “I know you must be extremely difficult to come to the concert. We trust out boss’s [Woollim Entertainment’s C.E.O Lee Joong-yup]decision and just follow it. I’ll appreciate if you do the same thingfor us. I’ll give back your belief 10 times and even 100 times bigger in the future.â€

In the meantime, member Hoya showed their confidence in their first-ever world concert tour by beginning the speech that, “We know that many people were skeptical about our world
tour and so were we before tonight.†“But I think we could make it after watching ourselves stepping off on the right foot tonight. Although some people might say we fail in our world tour, I don’t think there is any sort of failure. If we learn something from our world tour, I think it would raise our ability to a higher level,â€The seven-member idol group will bring the big-scale concert tour not only to
major Asian countries including HongKong, Japan, Thailand, Singapore,Taiwan, Malaysia and China but also the US, Mexico, Peru, the UK and France until December of this year.

The INFINITE members got so emotional that they spilled tears talking about Woollim Entertainment's merger with SM C&C to form 'Woollim Label'.

During their encore stage, Sunggyu said, "The reason why INFINITE was able to come all the way here from the bottom when we debuted three years ago is because of our fans. I'm so lacking that I'm sorry to the members, as well. A lot of people misunderstand. The INFINITE team won't change. We'll give you good music and let you hear great music. I'm hurt because people are misunderstanding. INFINITE will not change."

Sungyeol said, "We trust our CEO's decision. Everyone, just trust us and follow us. We'll give back as much as you trust us." Hoya added, "When we're done with our world tour, some people will say we failed. But I believe that if we gained anything, however small, at all, it's not a failure. We'll be back upgraded another level with the world tour."

Woohyun started crying as he said, "There's nothing we did wrong. We just worked hard to be our best from the beginning. We're always thinking about you. Don't misunderstand. INFINITE will get bigger. Please look forward to it." 

Sungjong also teared up and said, "I got confident because of you. I'm so thankful, and I hope we could forever be together." Dongwoo said, "I said I was a zelkova tree. When you think of us as a tree, the things that make us exist are our parents, who are like the ground foundation, Woollim Entertainment, who's like the water that allowed us to work / grow, and the fans, who are like the sun that always watch over us. Some can say that INFINITE is bad and some can say we're good. But we'll become an INFINITE that becomes even better the more you cut us down. We'll become a big tree that you can rest under."

L also cried and said, "To be honest, we had nothing at first. Now, we have a lot of good people. Even if we go back to the way we used to be, it won't be bad. But a person wants to keep having what he has. I can't imagine not having you. Everyone is precious."

So as said, the merge happened so they could successfully do a world tour and other activities because Woolim doesn't have the resources to do international stuff on their own

They aren't crying over the merger though. They're crying over the fact that their fans seem to think they'll be changing and that they won't be the same Infinite/Woollim due to this merger. The speeches said by the members are pretty much saying we've come a long way and we will remain the same Infinite and that the merger will help them grow into a bigger and better group.

 

Basically this is their attempt to reassure fans, though if one just reads the title or skims the article they'd probably get the wrong idea.

They aren't crying over the merger though. They're crying over the fact that their fans seem to think they'll be changing and that they won't be the same Infinite/Woollim due to this merger. Just say nothing will change and it's done. Whatever.

they even cried omg.. they should be having fun at their first ever world concert but suddenly SM came out with this issues and make fans and the members worried even CRIED.. omg i hate SM so much

do you guys really think Woollim will merge with C&C if this move is not needed? and its not like C&C force them to merge. both sides have to agree for this to happen.

 

anyway I can understand why they are emotional about this. the boys really start from the bottom. and they only start to gain real popularity with BTD, Be Mine and Paradise. hope they will be fine soon. and hope the fans could understand this will not change the group or their music.

I can't. You'd think these fans who love them so much would read the whole article instead of just skimming through. But I guess once they saw "Woolim merges with SM C&C", they lost the ability to read or think. -_-
