Harvest Moon, known in Japan as BokujÅ Monogatari (牧場物語 lit. Farm Story ?), is a farm simulation role-playing video gameseries created by Yasuhiro Wada and produced by Victor Interactive Software (acquired by Marvelous Entertainment in 2003). English translation and distribution of the games that are produced by Marvelous is currently done by XSEED Games, although it was previously done by Natsume before Marvelous suddenly backed out upon them (Natsume now continues to use their rightfully owned trademark for there own, new farming simulation games, as is their lawful right) for North America. English translation and distribution in Europe is done by Rising Star Games. The main objective of the game is to rebuild a run-down old farm and turn it into a successful one. Over a period of time the player tends to crops and livestock, befriends nearby townsfolk, and eventually in some series get married and start a family. The first game was Harvest Moon, released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1996.

What version do you have?

I'm going to try to snag Story of Seasons next month

I'm hoping they'd make it available on PS3.

haverst moon d.s cute; I played it when I was in grade 3

Oh I see. You can get the other versions through simulator. ^^

I still play my Harvest Moon DS game sometimes when I'm bored, even though the game got a bit unexciting once I got married and had a kid.

Sometimes I get bored too when I got married and had a baby so I restart the game again and try courting another girl.

Oh wow, the last time I played this game was ages ago lol but I stopped playing because I'm so busy working right now. I think the best HM was Back to Nature. I played the GBA version for a while (where we could collect magic stones? and build a cottage on the hill), it was really fun I got to choose to play as a girl :D

I really like Back To Nature too and I finished and played it again plenty of times.

Always used to play it years back on my DS, but for some reason I could never find that blue feather or something you had to collect to marry the girl.. I probably wasn't very good at the game.

Strategy guide/walkthrough can help you with that. ^^

I played the very first HM through SNES emulator and Back To Nature by using a PS1 emulator. ^^

You can play them on PC, laptop and android tablet.

tq!!! :stare:

It will be embarassing if my cousins see me playing again, but hei...It's fun so why not..

btw, Is there another version that compatible with laptop...?

You're welcome and don't be embarrassed.

For laptop, the SNES and PS1 emulators are usually compatible with laptops.

You can try Google for more info on how to have it on your laptop. ^^

i love harvest moon (bokujo monogatari) so much to the point i've become obsessed with it :ahmagah: . i play almost all the series  until now. maybe this game is the reason why i still playing the game. i remember the first HM i played is Back to Nature on PS 1 and after i buy PS 2 i played all the HM games on that platform. while i playing one of those HM game on PS2, i found the web called fogu.com and from there i know there are lots of HM series outside playstation. after knowing that, i downloaded the emulator to play another series and buy another console (wii and 3ds) to play the new one.

i haven't try SoS, but i'm planning soon. my fav Harvest moon is Wonderful life and Animal Parade. Oh, and i also play Rune factory series too ! :lub:
