The OP is amazing, yes! Speaking of Tahiti, it seems that from album sales and MV views alone (I can't give you numbers on digital sales since they didn't even chart), they earned about $4,049.31 US Dollars. Of course, this is simply my estimate and this amount is great for a girl group! If we had their digital sales, I can imagine the known profit earned from this comeback would be much greater.

 

Sounds great! I know they only sold 792 albums but it's pretty good for the status they are currently at.

Despite the appeal of being an idol singer, it definitely isn’t always glamorous. The upcoming episode of JTBC’s “Mom Is Watching†will feature a mother who is an obscure actress and her daughter who is an unknown singer. The singer in question is girl group TAHITI’s youngest member Ari. Her mother decided to make an appearance on the show in order to find out what exactly her daughter is doing since she cannot be seen on television.

Ari’s mother reveals that her daughter has worked for four years, but has yet to earn an income. She comments, “When I say my daughter is an idol singer, people think she earns a lot of money. However, after promoting for four years she has earned zero [south Korean Won].â€

The young singer confesses her sadness and difficulties as an unrecognized singer. She shares, “I was really happy that I would be on a music show, but a day before the filming a representative called and asked us to shorten our song down to two minutes. I feel sad that I haven’t had an opportunity to show a proper performance.†As she confides her true feelings, tears flow from her eyes.

That was awful to watch. They were performing and when they panned out to the crowd, it was just a couple people sitting down and who knows who they were? They looked like they were part of the crew the way they were dressed

 

Sitting in the subway and no one recognizing them Ari has talked about that before.

 

I think the only reason they went to Japan, was to sell off any remaining copies of the disk they had because it was literally the same tracklist in Korean with just a "1st Japanese Album" cover slapped on top.

 

At this point, the girls are safe from extinction. The company always sets up a comeback every year unlike some gg's who've disappeared from the face of the earth. I mean, I guess they have the money to keep putting into TAHITI but the problem is that their company shouldn't be treating them like a side project.

Like I said in another topic, Dreamstar needs to wisen up and give TAHITI a comeback as soon as possible. At this point, there are several people out there feeling bad for them and it's sad that it's gotten to this for people to notice them. But if the people are watching, then let's give them a comeback!

 

Otherwise, people will forget all about this in 2-3 months.

I agree that if they are promoting them elsewhere due to the strong competition in Korea right now, then it's smart.

 

But if they are doing it because they think they'll find success for TAHITI elsewhere, they are dead wrong and will only be able to blame themselves if the group dies.

I'll check how the view count updates myself. 2,000 views an hour seems way too much. So I think they update the view count every 15-30 minutes, and if right now they view count is 911,876 I'll check up on it when it updates and give you guys a guess based on that.

 

It was over the span of 4 hours, from when you posted the previous view count to when I posted that the M/V's views increased by 2,000+

Depending on how many people saw that show with Ari, they may have looked up TAHITI and then seen the other M/V's
