the foreigners are all wearing our country's traditional hanbok
look at them doing upskirts
why are they doing this to our country?;;
even BlockB got into a similar controversy not long ago,
they've been out for 3 years and they've finally came back but I'm shocked...
look at GD lifting the skirt with his dirty expression

(t/n: I think what the OP meant is that they're "downgrading" women/Korea like the BlockB teaser)

ㅇㅇ |2015.05.01 14:18 crazy...BlockB too, they used the kimono thoughtlessly and got f*cking swore at but I was wondering why no one was talking about Bigbang

(t/n: talking about since the MV is 19+ they can do it and the foreigners found it pretty) ã…‡ |2015.05.01 15:36 the BBCs are heck pitiful.. the actual MV didn't even have the kimono scene but people are still dissing them for their teasers the company must be having a hard timeã…

(t/n: talking about how the hanbok is presented in a "divine" way and saying how actors in drama do those things too) ㅇㅇ |2015.05.01 14:54 seriously guys, it's useless, anything we bring up, the company will just bury it down

ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ |2015.05.01 15:52 wow seriously so mad. this is Korea's pride but they're using it to humiliate us. I know that that one member is dating a pro-japanese but  why does he have to publicly mock Korea like that??? Even Seungri, when he goes to Japan, he always belittle Korea and saying ridicule stuff about Kimchi, anyways the VIPs shields are the funniest, so what if it's 19+??? so they have the right to diss hanbok? seriously like singers, like fans.

ㅇㅇ |2015.05.01 14:24 this is the truth, Kimono are from Japan and Hanbok are Korea's but people are only bashing the Kimono sideã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ isn't Hanbok logically a bigger issue?

Young people want to break the tradition, because they want to be more "european", that's why I think it's here... Cause it's kind of trend? Or provocation to show that this isn't right? Maybe :)

They're still sexualizing the hanbok. They're having foreign models wear hanboks in a music video with very sexually suggestive lyrics and visuals.

but it has also been sexualized in dramas and movies as well where there are even scenes with gisaengs opening their legs and allowing them to get under their skirts and all.

why is it okay in dramas.movies but not an MV? if it does degradade the hanbok, then stop it everywhere. this is the part that I don't get. why is it okay for their movies but not in a music video?

what does block b have to do with this

Block B, rather Bastars (the subunit) had girls in the Kimono in their MV teaser. Only it was highly sexualized and people got upset because it was like a 'comfort women' concept. Block B got a lot of hate for it whereas Big Bang gets a pass because they're BB.

I knew they were going to get trouble for it. I also thought it was in bad taste. I dont understand why do they only use white girls on their mvs either

At least be consistent people. If you bashed BLOCK B for their mv, you just can NOT shield this

What I dont understand is why people related block b's teaser to the comfort women issue. Since when did korean comfort women wear kimonos?

geishas (the japanese equivalent of gisaengs) also wore kimonos. It has been sexualized in a lot of movies too. Block b still got hate for it.

your point?

I'm not sure. Maybe because K-netizens know how global Big Bang is, and they fear that foreigners will see that happening and think it's okay? It could also be due to the fact that the women wearing the hanboks are white, not Korean.

my point is why they gate hate for it since it has been sexualized long before their MVs. I don't know Block B's Mv and nor am I hating on them on anything so I'm not sure why the tense vibes in your question.

it makes no sense to be honest. there is much more content like this in dramas, passing by not even the focus and at times the entire focus compared to two music videos that exhibit a peek-a-boo under the skirt? i'm not sure if a moment in an MV from popular international group can cause damage in any way when there have been scenes like this in dramas and that is also a content that goes worldwide.

for me it seems they are exaggerating especially since it happens in dramas or movies as well. i really don't get what brought this upset feelings now when there are plenty of platforms online to watch dramas or movies that are showing worse.
