They changed, became fake and everyone was just trying to outdo everyone. Like you'd have people bragging all the time about how they were going to an out of state university and how much money they had. The funny thing is that most of them ended up eating their words and got stuck at the local college They try to talk to me now but I just make it as painfully awkward and boring as possible so that they don't try to talk to me again. The past few years since high school have been difficult since we we're only been able to hang out as a group of 5 maybe 4 times in the past 5 years, but we talk regularly in a chat on FB and we meet up in broken little groups of 2 or 3 when we can. I'm still super close with my friend who was an exchange student from Sweden though and we try to skype with each other at least once a month. We all go to different Universities but as soon as the holiday comes up, we meet and hang out every other day. We are a tight knit group. I am still best friends with girls who i went to nursery and middle school with. It's getting a little harder to meet up since "home" isn't the same place for all of us anymore, but we still matter to each other. It's a nice feeling.
