MoreTokyo 1,008 Posted August 8, 2013 Share Posted August 8, 2013 In addition to Arcade Fire's own new forthcoming LP, out October 29, the band has created music for the upcoming Spike Jonze film Her, as the Playlist (via Arcade Fire Tube) notes. Check out the trailer below, which cites "Music by Arcade Fire" in the credits. Jonze previously directed the band's short film "Scenes from The Suburbs" in 2011. Aphex Twins and Yeah Yeah Yeahs can also be heard within the teaser. "It’s a movie set in the slight future of L.A. and Joaquin Phoenix’s character buys the world’s first artificially intelligent operating system," Jonze said of the film (also via the Playlist). "It basically turns into a human, this entity, this consciousness, on his computer." Scarlett Johansson provides the voice of the operating system.
