Phoenix Wright 773
I began this drama yesterday, I watched two first chapters and it's hilarious, I love the couples. First couple (Oh Do Si/ Ryu Du Ri): Watching them is like see my parents everyday, obviously my parents are much older but the dynamics are the same, I love how he is scared of Takuya and Joon Jae because their height xDDD, The elevator scene with the room manager, the school girls and Takuya and Joon Jae made me cry with laughs. One of my favourite scenes was when they decide to get dirty and he begins to insult her mother haha. Second Couple (Jeong Yeong Jun/ Choi Jin Nyeo): He is a completely idiot (I tell in a good sense) haha he is hilarious, first when he is "exercising", then when he is "Illuminating the room" and then when they are with his sister. Third ¿Couple? (Lee Joon Jae/ Takuya): This is hilarious, I didn't know that a lot of japanese words were like Korean, but with different meanings of course, the football game was hilarious, Takuya talking about the grass and Joon Jae thinking he was insulting him, poor man when he realizes that takuya wasn't dissing him, and when they are "learning japanese with porn" haha when takuya was going "to finish" and Joon Jae stops him haha. I don't know if Takuya is very innocent or he is doing those things on purpose, but let's get real, this is Korea, I think they won't have balls to become them in gays. Forth Couple (Park Hwan Jong/Ha Seoul Eun): My least favourite couple, maybe because they have less screen time, I think she tries to hard to be perfect in front of him and they are akward with each other, i hope they get used to be together. One thing, i don't know if it's just me but in certain scenes I think actors are laughing for real and not because script, in the first chapter when Jeong Yeong Jun is "exercising" in one moment he laughs to himself, I think that's the actor and not the character. The same in second chapter when Joon Jae is "learning japanese" when he is imitating the girl's moan he is trying not to laugh but he is smiling. P.s: I didn't read any post on this thread, I don't want spoilers so sorry if I misunderstood something.
Phoenix Wright 773
Lol that face, did I say something stupid right? Sorry sorry, I've watched episode 3 and I loved too, this chapter seems more serious, they joked and all, but their inner monologue adds more seriousness. i told in the previous chapter that they wouldn't dare to make the two boys a couple but maybe i have to swallow my words, definitely something is up. I like when the couples interact with each other, the bed sheeting fight was hilarious.
Phoenix Wright 773
FINISHED, I think this thread is abandoned, but well i want to share my impressions WARNING: A very long post. This is maybe one of my favourite dramas if not the best, I regret not having watched before, realism mixed with comedy and fluff moments. I loved all couples equally, all this moments of fun won't be unforgettable. If the show wanted to criticize the traditionalism in korean society the did it perfectly but not in a rude way just showing that living together without getting married is just another way of living. I think these 11 chapters full of fun was like a warming for the 12th episode: "are we getting married or not?" while the eleven episodes were pure comedy the episode 12 was full of angst and worries about the future. SPOILERS Episode 12 and the entire show: Couple 609: In my opinion the most stable couple, but I can understand Oh Do Shi worries, his parents are sick and it's okay Ryu Du Ri has permanent employment now but it's not his job he loves her too much he is scared that with him Du Ri can have tough times and she is lovable telling him that it doesn't matter he hasn't job she will be with him in good times and bad times too. I felt devastated when he abandons home, but thanks god he came back with her at the end, I love the music when they are walking in the street telling that future doesn't mind, just today. Like I said before this show criticizes the society, we see that at the end when the new landlord doesn't know what to say when Du Ri tells they are just living together (good nod to the first episode) Couple 610: Maybe the funniest couple, he is a clown but I really like his character and his love for Man Goo, I loved him in this last episode when he tells her that he loves his old pants, they are the best clearly referring to her, her we have another criticism with idol/music industry, a famous guy has to be free because couples drags them down, I remember this guy from Super Junior who married with his girlfriend, and his fans went crazy demanding to kick him out from the group, he had to ask forgiveness for getting married, what a crazy thing, but sadly this happens in real life. It's for this that I love their ending, he decides to come back with her and they have a baby girl, awesome. Couple 709: I loved what they did with these two, The best thing is that they didn't use stupid stereotypes like turn Joon Jae in a drama queen or Takuya in a effeminate guy, just two normal guys, Takuya very bright and optimistic and Joon Jae shy and sensitive, so thank you very much writers. At first I didn't think they would be a couple, just friends, the breakpoint was episode 7 when Joon Jae decides to stay with Takuya and not with his girlfriend, and episode 11 was awesome when Joon jae finally burst and let go all the angst with Takuya looking him very seriously. In this episode finally we see clearly what Takuya was thinking all this time, he is in love too but afraid that his relationship with Joon Jae could change, and here we have other criticism, what could happen to two gay people in Korea, like Takuya thinks: "If we were a girl and a boy we could be very happy but now we..." This is just my personal opinion but Takuya was afraid because Joon Jae's character, I think he could overcome the criticism and hurdles but Joon jae is very shy, so he left the apartment thinking that this could crush Joon Jae's life and he couldn't allow this. When he comes again it's clear Joon Jae has been depresed, the house is shit and he reeks of alcohol, so they have a perfect day or like Takuya says one dream night and I think this is Joon Jae's main motivation to go for Takuya afterwards. When i saw the first "The And", I was like WTF this can't be the end, luckily we have the last scene, and again a nod to the first chapter, when Joon Jae smiles in the door Takuya knows that Joon jae is completely ready for a relationship. Couple 510: These couple needed more time but I liked them, I felt very bad when they split but at least they realized this before the marriage, in all chapters I didn't see her completely happy unlike the other couples and he seemed a little unconfortable too. When she asked him why he want to marry and he didn't answer I said, this is over and I was right. I think he is too calm and she is too nervous, not a good match. Well at least they were happy but separately, she found a new man and he is best friend with the landlord. Favourite scenes in the show: Episode 7: The fight between Do Shi and Hwan Jong in the parking lot and Joon Jae as referee, the scene is so hilarious that Oh Do Si breaks his character and begins to laught, and the same with Joon Jae when Do Shi's sneakers end in his head . Episode 11: The meeting with the neighbors, first Oh Do Si's height complex again, then Man Goo and Seol Eun exhibiting themselves and last the fight between girls, that random neighbor crying for his mother and Joon Jae cleaning Oh Do Shi's trousers . Sorry for writing the Bible but I repeat this is the best Kdrama ever, I hope they make a new season with other couples too.
