I think becuz when its a girl group, everyone checks it out, young old fan, non fan, male female. And most fanboys just download the album instead of buying it. As for boy groups thier fandom is their source of power. Unless they have public recognition like BB. Only fans check out and stream their songs. The only exception was EXO with growl they topped charts.
