My Literature Teacher

Okay so I wanna talk about my literature teacher.

Today she bought us milo and ANZAC biscuits for NO REASON. SHE HAD A THERMOS OF HOT WATER AND EVERYTHING

On the first day of term we went on a literature treasure hunt and SHE GAVE US CHOCOLATE.

WE ARE IN YEAR 11

I LOVE HER

I have never had a teacher who more actively promotes happiness and relaxation among their students. THIS IS THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION. Literature class actually makes me want to go to school, and school has never before done anything but detriment my mental health.

ewfhiuewhfoeuhfoehofhweoihf I can't cope with her she makes me so happy dwejfjwoejfpoewjfoejf

It's necessary to have fun for a while. But if she continues doing that for the rest of the term, good luck

She is a great teacher though is the thing, I felt extra motivated to do work because SHE BOUGHT US BLOODY MILO WHAT TEACHER DOES THATewf ehfewhfewhfewhfefhe ehf2hfi2hfoi wd1h2rh0orih

Consider yourself lucky enough to have a teacher that actually cares about your well-being. I had a third-grade teacher like that once, she was the only teacher that was actually willing to make an effort to improve my behavior.

I do consider myself lucky. I have had my fair share of impersonal, uncaring and plain rude teachers. My lit teacher is a godsend. I have never had a teacher like this, not even in primary school.

My primary school experience was the worst. In my first school, none of those teachers were qualified to teach someone with disabilities like myself. The bullying was also pure hell and the teachers didn't do shit about it.

I'm sorry  :._.:

My primary school experience wasn't that bad. It wasn't great either though, even then I didn't really have any friends and was super stressed all the time even though there was like no work in primary school at all.

She sounds great!! Congrats to you and especially to her, for showing passion towards her job. Bringing food is sometimes iffy for teachers (allergies, kids who don't like the food being left out, etc.), glad she doesn't let that stop her.  :)

There are food policies here too, but it mainly only covers allergies.

Quebec boards have a strict food policy, we can't give food to our students...

Noooo thats so sad. Not that literature class is good just because of the food, its more about the environment.

Considering I had a food reaction the only day kids could get food with the parents' consent (Halloween) and had to drink half a bottle of benadryl to keep teaching... I think it's a good thing.

Hell, one of the teachers called me spoiled. My third grade teacher, second grade teacher and my second fourth grade teacher (In total I had 3 fourth grade teachers because of line-up changes that occurred during the school year. It was very fucked up.) were the only ones who bothered to at least help me with my behavioral issues. In fact, they were the best ones there. The second principal and vice principal (The original ones had retired) were terrible and both counselors were completely shitty. The first one suggested that I leave class through the back like how black people were supposed to sit in the back of the bus while the white kids were in the front, which is kind of ironic because she's black. Then the 2nd one literally refused to counsel me in the 4th grade when I was one of the few kids in that school with an actual disability.

Yeah, it covers mostly allergies here as well...but also deals with not wanting to single kids out. I'm not even allowed to call them out in class, I have to wait to the end of lessons and talk to them when other students aren't present. Don't want to embarrass the kid for not behaving in class.  :imstupid:

I bring different kinds of candies and just let them choose. Safest route to take. Sad but true.  :._.:

My year 9 science teacher told a girl she was going to hell and was homophobic all the time. Oh and my art teacher was hella rude to me for no reason, but thats the worst teacher experience I've had really.

Hell, my art teacher didn't even like children.

My primary school art teacher was terrifying. She made people cry she was so evil. My old art room got moved to my high school actually, I'm convinced she's still living in a cardboard box in there eating any children foolish enough to wander in.

Personally, my art teacher was verrry critical. It's probably the reason why I'm such a good artist, because it was a miracle when she complimented you and she ended up complimenting my art in first grade or something.

Omg that's awesome! :) Teachers that actually make you enthusiastic to come to class are a rare breed but they're awesome :) My History professor at Uni's like that, just so darn enthusiastic about his subject that I love learning from him lol :)

And my English teacher's kinda like yours - because our classes are so small, he moved our class to his office and instead of having a 9am class, he pushed it back to 9:30am AND he also buys us biscuits haha, our classes just end up being discussions over tea and coffee and it's awesome cause we still get loads done lol :)

Must just be a literature teacher thing haha
