I finally got a chance to watch the eng sub for episode 9.

 

Something is definitely not right after seeing Seunghee's performance. I'm not sure if she's just taking it easy leading up to the finals or if all the promoting has finally caught up with her.

 

I felt the song arrangement wasn't her own and considered it a very 'vanilla' duet where her partner was too impressive and took the spotlight away from her. She definitely looked unwell and she wasn't her usual bubbly self during the post performance conversations.

 

With her being sick and not attending the Japanese tour also doesn't bode well for future episodes where she'll be up against 4 other performers (Probably all the big guns that are currently on point).

 

It's so sad not seeing JinE and Seunghee in Japan. There's 6 members which is more than other groups combined yet somehow the group looks so empty...

 

Get well Seunghee and come back with something that will blow us away.

Funny, this might be my favorite performance. I think its beautiful, her voice is just extremely pretty and tender here. Of course Sandeul overpowered her during the last refrain, but her tone and clarity held its own during the harmonies. And I love how their chemistry.

i was reading someone else's comment that mentioned how she seems to be going more for popularity > skill (i guess they meant that her song choices gave off the feeling of being noticed more for singing the song rather than her ability) but tbh i don't think it's a bad idea?

 

there are two ways for this to go= seunghee loses but fans of different fandoms come into the fandom through her partial covers or seunghee wins and people are astonished as to how she did that + people come into the fandom.

 

i think there is a large chance she'll lose and tbh im 100% okay with that as she's done so well so far, by i think throughout the show she's been thinking about how to promote oh my girl to certain stanbases, older and younger

I see what you mean, I personally enjoyed the perf., but from what you said, I think that the arrangement for a duo, doesn't put her on the spotlight & Sandeul took "a lot of place" with his incredible vocal. I think it's maybe that, that you feel.

 

I'm not a professional in vocal, but I listen a lot of music, and I find that she really did a great job, even their harmonization was good, but maybe that Sandeul was a little too high.

I personally think that she was sick, but that at the begining, the plan was that she went to Sapporo with the others, and when they went to Tokyo Sunday, she went back to Seoul. But seen she was probably not in good condition, they certainly said that was better for her to rest for the recording. But yeah, they kinda lie a little seen they said she was not there, for health issue till the 20 ^^' 

But at the same time it wasn't an official statement so I don't know xd

omg me too! i always felt that omg would do well with a RPP type concept so im excited on that front

It's the first time that I can't say who will win a show, they're all talented and worked so hard + they're completly different, voice, personality and song choice. 

 

They look to all go in the type of song that they're confident in. So those two episodes gonna be "Must watch".

me too tbh, but showmanship carries one far. The first performance was too much dancing, it exhausted her pretty quickly. But the second acoustic was so great. She needs to rest now tho, she deserves it. 

 

and tbh I think the vacation is a better prize for her because she can take her family. Cars are kinda a pain in the ass in Korea, insurance is so expensive

She did the best choice, acoustic guitar highlights her vocal like never. I was scared that she choosed too much but at the end the arrangement was greatly done, she really know what she's doing.

 

And yes, she was sometimes completly out of breath during the 1st perf., she did too many dance move but well we had like that 2 different perf., this is her force   

 

Let's hope the best for her in the futur, cause she will certainly the first to had a solo single or album and she will have lots ot OST proposition soon too.

i dont know if it was just my earphones but her high notes came off screechy during Happiness. i think her voice is kind of too thin for songs like that

 

otherwise she did great i especially love how she sounded for RR! and she looked so hot in that choker too ;-;

I'm waiting for the full eng sub to get all the comments but Seunghee does have some difficulty reaching higher notes from what I've seen.

 

I'm hoping WM will perhaps encourage Hyojung to take the high notes and let Seunghee to take the more powerful notes.

For me the high note wasn't bad but I join Noon on the fact that her voice was too different compared to Wendy one, but she really did great for a live. And don't forget that she was sick again the week before, she had probably some hard moment to repeat during her Chuseok Holiday.
