Dream roles for Luhan, Kris, Lay and Tao

I've been watching lots of dramas and reading Chinese novels recently, and there were some Chinese novels where I felt these boys would be suitable.

For Luhan, I was reading this Chinese novel called Really Really Miss You by Mo Bao Fei Bao and I totally think Luhan would fit the character of Mo Qing Cheng. Can't help but imagine Luhan's voice!

PLOT:

Our male and female lead are in the online entertainment circle, he on the dubbing side and she on the music cover side. The circle is one where physical appearance is generally anonymous and you are known by your online handle and your voice. Gu Sheng, a relatively unknown online singer who goes by the handle Sheng Sheng Man and who specializes in cover songs of ancient-style music, is a huge fan of Qiang Qing Ci, a very famous and well-loved CV (character voice) artist (i.e. dubber, voiceover artist). It was like, love at first listen.

One morning, she was chatting with a friend in her online “room†when his voice suddenly appeared in her headset, describing to her in detail how to prepare a food dish she had been talking about. This began their online chats about food. Gu Sheng can scarcely believe that she is talking to her idol, and he seems to be trying to progress the relationship further.

I also imagine Luhan for Gu Man's Just One Smile, he totally fits the Xiao Nai character imo. For some reason, Luhan sorta fits the new millennium techie cutie characters.

What is it that makes a man fall in love with a woman at first sight? Appearance? Aura? Wealth? NO, when campus prince and gaming expert, student Xiao Nai first saw Bei Wei Wei, what made him fall in love was not her extraordinary beauty, but her slim and slender fingers that were flying across the keyboard and her calm and composed manner!!! Embarrassing, no? At the same time, gaming expert Bei Wei Wei, at this time and place is on the computer, methodically commanding a guild war, and won a perfect and glorious victory despite being at a disadvantage, and was completely unaware that cupid is nearby. Soon after basketball player, swimmer, all-around excellent student, and game company president,  Xiao Nai, uses both tactics on and off-line to take this beauty’s heart. Therefore this romance slowly bloomed.

I've also read another two novels which I felt Wu Yifan would fit the male role very much. One is Li Cheng Yin of Western Palace.

She is the much loved and spoilt ninth princess of Xi Liang country. She embarked on the road to Central Plains (Zhongyuan) for an arranged marriage. He is the almighty and powerful crown prince.  Because of a political marriage, he is forced to marry a foreign princess. He has his own beloved concubine, Zhao Liang Di.  She has her own life,  escaped from the palace to ride horse, disguised as a young man,  chased thieves, sent lost children home and drinking wine. Initially, their lives are like two parallel lines, never intersect. However, the fight for power and position in eastern palace, endless gossips and hidden murderous intention, led her to get involved step-by-step.

After surviving a near death experience, she suddenly recalled what happened three years ago:

His blind date with her in the desert,

He beheaded the white-eyed wolf king in Tian Gen mountain for her sake,

They held a grand wedding on the prairie.

However, he also brought her disaster, a bloody genocide …

River of Forgetfulness, to forget a love.

When her memory returned, how should she choose?

And the other is the second lead, the Night Deity, in Heavy Sweetness, Ash-like Frost. I know it's not the male protagonist, but he suits it so much. Plus the character is very well written!

Jin Mi saves a bird, mistakenly thinking that it was a crow when it was actually the second Son of Heaven, the Phoenix Fire Deity. He takes her to his palace in the Heavenly World, where she also meets his elder brother, the Dragon Night Deity. Both Sons of Heaven fall in love with her, but she is incapable of understanding or feeling love.

When the story of her birth comes to light, she finds her birth father, the Water Deity, and is betrothed to the Night Deity. The Heavenly Empress had poisoned Jin Mi’s birth mother, the Flower Deity, out of jealousy and also attempts to destroy her. The Water Deity retaliates to protect his daughter and is killed by the Phoenix Fire Deity, so he can save his mother’s life. On the day of her marriage to the Night Deity, Jin Mi stabs the Phoenix to avenge her father and coughs up the the Unfeeling Pill that she ate as a baby. She falls into a deep sleep and when she wakes up two years later, her heart feels as if it has been torn from her body.

Ten years pass and the Fire Deity is revived, but he is no longer the fiery-tempered young man who fell head over heels in love with her all those years ago but is now a coolly calculating Demon Lord. Will he seek her out for revenge? Who will she choose when she becomes trapped between the Fire Deity’s and Night Deity’s war for power?

For Lay, I've been watching a drama recently and I feel if China could remake it (which they do all the time anyway, plus Thai dramas are gaining an audience there), I'd love it if he plays the main lead in Angel Magic. When I was watching it, I felt it was something Lay would be so charming in! When the girl becomes a bird, she goes to his house and he takes care of her (when she's a bird) so sweetly, but they fight like there's no tomorrow during the day!  :ahmagah:   Plus Lay in suits = love.

Teepob and Lallalit "Beauty" grew up together but he hates her because she bullied him for being fat and ugly. Now professional adults, she comes to him for help to regain power over her family's company, he pranks her by sending her to do the lowest jobs. Lallalit is a spoiled, bratty and selfish heiress who is completely absorbed with her own beauty. Looking down from heaven two angels decide to teach her a lesson by acting as her fairy godmothers and casting a spell on her. Only she doesn't receive a reward but the curse of living her life as a human at day and as a bird at night. Only true love's kiss from a person she'd love more than her own life can break the spell. Of course Lallalit thinks it would be a piece of cake to find somebody love her but to her surprise she overhears people talking badly about her, hating her for being rotten.

I've always felt Tao has this mischievous heartthrob vibe going on in with him so it was only natural that I read this novel with him playing Wei Bei in my mind. The title is Hey, Let the Girl Go! (喂,放开那姑娘)

I can so imagine Tao going "My girl, I am the only person who can bully you, everyone else needs to step aside."

*swoon*

Ye Chu is a good girl, everything about her is good, except she is a bit chubby. Wei Bei is a bad boy, everything about him is bad, except his handsome looks. When a good girl meets a bad boy. There is a big shout: “Beast, let the girl go!†There is always a bad boy who bullies you, gives you nickname and puts crickets in your school bag. Just because …he wants to be with you. This is a sweet and innocent “green plum, bamboo horse†childhood romance. A bad boy tightly holds onto a good girl. My girl, I am the only person who can bully you, everyone else needs to step aside.

Luhan would make a cute techie nerd. But it seems as though he's staying away from romantic lead role/Campus Prince type characters for right now tho.

Risky, but interesting imo. I saw the Korean version of Blind so I'm hoping he does his role justice. Always good to go beyond your comfort zone as an actor, though I hope he eventually picks up a cutie techie nerd role at some point in his career.  :rlytearpls:

Yeah I think he just doesn't want to get typecast because of his looks and trying to branch out. I'm excited to see how he'd do outside of his comfort zone since his "Back to 20s" character was pretty similar to him.

Same to your last sentence. The second story you picked out sounds cute. I can totally see him play the role.

Somehow I feel Luhan would make a distinctive TV host because of his cute persona.
