What elements of music do you pay attention to in songs?

In terms of: the beat/ melody (any specific instruments?)/lyrics/their voice(s).

For me, I don't really pay attention to the words that much when I'm listening to music, unless I make an effort to.

And let's be real; pretty sure only a rare number of us actually try finding out the meaning of the words in kpop songs. :imstupid:

I pay attention mostly to the melody (especially guitars) and if it has an interesting beat.

I don't pay any attention to the lyrics either

Does Bitchcraft plan on ever coming back ?

Isn't this like the second time you're asking?

If anything changes, I'll tell you/you'll see.

:imstupid: Maybe if you pray hard enough, then fill a cauldron with sugar, spice and everything nice, and simmer that for 13 days and nights and walk around that and chant the correct incantation seven times, she'll return.

Short answer: idk :imstupid:

Lyrics are extremely important for me. I don't have time to sing crap and get it into my system. I will only listen to (clean) nonsensical lyrics if  I'm in a fun mood. Otherwise, the song better be saying something meaningful that either encourages me, or tells me a story I find intriguing or can relate to.

With kpop, it's usually some type of love or breakup song so I will admit I don't look up lyrics as much as I do with English songs; I still look up quite a few of them tho and I always look up the lyrics of a kpop song if it's something that looks like it could be utter rubbish LOL and then proceed to rid it from my mindspace.

Musically, vocals are the first thing I listen to. How a person sings a song, phrasing, musicality, runs and the harmony used if there's any -is usually carefully absorbed and analyzed lol

Next up comes the arrangement- all the instruments used (individual basslines, piano lines,  guitar riffs etc), where they're used, progressions/chords...all of that.

That's mainly what I pay attention to.

It used to be melody and stuff when I was younger, but now I pay attention to everything. One time, I had to make a video project in the eighth grade, and I used a song that has a good melody but really weird lyrics and everyone laughed at me. It was a song about smoking weed, I don't remember LOL
