'New World' is quite possibly the best gangster film I've ever seen since 'Election'.

I've watched the film 'Election', and it easily became one of the best gangster films I've ever seen from Johnnie To (and in Hong Kong cinema).  The sequel to 'Election' was even better!  Johnnie To seriously outdid himself with his 2nd film for 'Election'.  Both films are great, but they contain a lot of brutal and disturbingly violent scenes, so I wouldn't recommend them for everyone.  The following video is the trailer for 'Election 2'.

 

 

Recently, South Korean director 'Park Hoon-jung' came out with a gangster film called 'New World'.  If you are a fan of gangster films, then do yourself a favor and go watch 'New World' now!  This film is just as good as 'Election'!  

 

 

I don't want to talk too much about the plot of the film.  I'm just going to say that it's similar to 'Election and it's a great film filled with top actors such as Choi Min-sik and Hwang Jeong-min.  I just don't see why people wouldn't want to watch the film.  That is unless you don't like violent films.  Otherwise, just watch it.
