Hyungsik says Kwanghee changed after joining 'Infinity Challenge'

ZE:A's Hyungsik, Siwan, and Kwanghee appeared on SBS's 'Healing Camp' on August 10 for a fun time both entertaining the audience and covering deep topics - and of course attacking one another with teases.

Kwanghee pointed out how greasy Hyungsik was, explaining that he would be playful with the members before a signing event and then once the doors opened, he would completely change and start throwing greasy winks at their fans.

In return, Hyungsik claimed Kwanghee had changed after joining 'Infinity Challenge,' elaborating, "Once, I had a meal outing with the dream team, but a phone call came from Kwanghee.  In response to Kwanghee's 'Let's go watch a movie,' I said, 'I can't because I'm on my way to a company outing.'  Then he responded with, 'Hyungsik. I'm Hwang Kwanghee... don't you see me on TV?,'" making everyone burst into laughter.

Also on this day, Kwanghee said upon seeing Siwan, "It's been such a long time.  I see Hyungsik often."  As he seemed upset, Siwan said, "I support Kwanghee's life, but if I meet up with Kwanghee more than once a week, it feels like my energy is being squeezed out.  I don't meet him before I have filming."

Kwanghee does have a ton of energy!

Hyungsik is scared of dating?

ZEA-Hyungsik_1439224727_af_org.jpg

Hyungsik expressed his fear to date during his SBS 'Healing Camp' appearance on August 10.

He said, "Only I get bad comments if a dating rumor comes up.  I'm of the thought that dating rumor equals something bad.  It's a shameful fact in itself that I can't try dating anymore now that I'm 26, but it's also true that I'm scared to date publicly," perhaps suggesting that rather than dating for fun, he could only date more seriously, but he was scared to even do that.

"I'm also worried that that label will follow me even after a break up," he continued.  "Rather than wanting to date, I think I'm more scared even now."  The viewers gave him courage after hearing his words, telling him to go ahead and date!

Media outlets criticize ZE:A's Hyungsik for his attitude during interviews

ZEA-Hyungsik_1439276517_af_org.jpg

ZE:A's Hyungsik has come under fire, and no, not from netizens, but from media outlets who have recently tried to conduct interviews with him.

With him wrapping up his drama 'High Society', he recently held an interview with several media outlets, but probably due to all the schedules he's been handling, his interview answers were rather short, curt, or just thoughtless according to the reporters who went to interview him. Two media outlets, The Fact and Financial News, especially pointed out the matter directly by writing articles about his attitude, rather than trying to piece together an interview article with his short answers.

The media outlets pointed out that the word 'tired' was written all over the idol-turned-actor's face when they went to meet him. However, despite understanding how tired he must have been, how little effort he put into their short interview sessions disappointed and frustrated the reporters.

The Fact says they had no choice but to cut the interview short at 25 minutes, while Financial News says their interview ended in 15 minutes. The reporters say they worked hard to prepare questions that weren't so obvious, but were met with short, unimaginative answers.

When one reporter asked him if he watches his fellow member Siwan's dramas, Hyungsik simply stated, "I tell myself I should but I forget because I don't have time". When asked what his thoughts are on the compliments he receives from his sunbaes, he responded "I'm thankful". When asked to compare his teamwork between his different co-stars, he replied "People are all different". When the reporters decided to wrap up the interview with the question if he had anything to say about 'High Society' having reached an end, Hyungsik said, "I want to go to the bathroom".

According to The Fact, a Star Empire employee later apologized for Hyungsik's lackluster attitude, telling them, "Hyungsik has a lot of concerns lately. He is having a hard time because he has a lot of schedules."

The reporters point out that although he may be tired, he's not the only one there who's tired. The agency employee who had to bow his head and apologize on behalf of the idol is also tired, the reporter who had to prepare for the interview and drive over to meet with the idol is also tired. They ask the question whether Hyungsik being tired can be an excuse for everything when everyone else there also has his own issues and things that tire them out.

What do you think of all this?

It looks like ZE:A's Kwanghee is pulling out all the stops for the upcoming music special of 'Infinity Challenge'.

Kwanghee will be teaming up with Big Bang's Taeyang and G-Dragon, and he's gone blond just for the occasion. On August 13, the ZE:A member shared the photo above as well as the message, "I'm not joking." He definitely looks different with a lighter shade.

ZE:A's Minwoo to enlist next month!

ZEA-Minwoo_1440590437_af_org.jpg

ZE:A's Minwoo will be enlisting next month!

The ZE:A member announced that he'll be entering his mandatory military service on September 15. Minwoo wrote:

"Time is really fast, right? I've received a lot of love for the past 6 years, running without rest through the countless worries and happy moments. I've made joyful memories with ZE:A and you fans, and now it's already time to enlist in the army. If you're a guy, it's something that you'll go through at least once, and I'm going to go too. I'm sorry that I feel that I'm making noise about going to the army, which everyone has to go through. With the time I have left, I'll wrap up my activities with ZE:A and spend time with my family and members before going into training. I'll take on the attitude I did during debut, learn, and become mature, so I can return as an able man. Though I'm lacking, I thank you for for sincerely loving me and cheering me on."

Are you sad to hear the news?

Did you read the news that Star Empires building will be sold?

Star Empire building revealed to be listed for forced sale by court ordered auction

Nine-Muses-ZEA-vos_1440650580_af.jpg

Things aren't looking too good for Star Empire as their headquarter building is out on court ordered auction.

According to real estate auction company GGI Auction, the Star Empire building consisting of 4 stories is listed for auction, and the first bidding session will be held by the Seoul Western District Court on September 8.

The building's estimated value is 3,758,930,000 KRW (~ 3.2 million USD), and the creditor TRI Entertainment, who requested the forced sale by auction, is asking for 1,137,770,000 KRW (~ 1 million USD). The building is also held as collateral for 1,968,000,000 KRW (~1.7 million USD) as mortgage by the city bank

GGI Auction revealed, "The building in question is a case of forced sale by auction and it's a case where TRI Entertainment won their lawsuit to begin its process to recover its investment. As with most forced sale auctions, it probably will not be called off easily."

ZE:A's Hyungsik to join Yoo Hae Jin and Cha Seung Won on 'Three Meals a Day'

ZE-A-Hyungsik-to-join-Yoo-Hae-Jin-and-Ch

Hyungsik will be heading to Manjae Island!

He'll be joining tvN's 'Three Meals a Day' with Cha Seung Won and Yoo Hae Jin. His joining the show had already been confirmed on the 31st, and he'll be heading to the island in the beginning of September to enjoy life in a fishing village.

Originally, Jang Geun Suk was in season 1 but had left, and Son Ho Joon had filled his place for the second half. He was in talks of being the season 2 member, as well, but he could not join the first episode because of his other schedules. Hyungsik will instead show up as a guest until Son Ho Joon is done figuring out his schedule.

A rep stated, "After confirming with the production crew, Hyungsik plans to appear as a guest, but nothing has been decided about his having a regular appearance.  As we've relayed and confirmed from Son Ho Joon the other day, he is still mediating his schedule at the moment," so it seems possible he may still be the regular member.  In the meantime, Hyungsik will guest star.

Filming will start on September 5th; the show will air in October.

Kwanghee talks about his growing friendship with G-Dragon and Taeyang + his variety career

ZEA-Kwanghee_1441130136_af_org.jpg

ZE:A's Kwanghee related how he felt about getting the opportunity to share the stage with G-Dragon and Taeyang

In a recent interview, the singer expressed his giddiness on performing "Mapsosa" with G-Dragon and Taeyang for 'Infinity Challenge's music festival. He said, "It feels really great. This particular music genre was one that ZE:A has never done before. It was a good experience. It was a chance to show that I'm a singer through lots of practice. Like a miracle, I formed a friendship with G-Dragon and Taeyang, whom I was a fan of.

When asked whether he continues to keep in touch with the Big Bang members, Kwanghee replied, "That's right. I can't stop contacting them," and quickly added, "We planned to meet up soon," bringing laughter.

Kwanghee also talked about his ambitions to grow even more as a variety star in the future. He said, "I'm grateful when the production crew of different programs tell me, 'You were funny,' after I joined 'Infinity Challenge.' I gained more energy doing 'Infinity Challenge.' So I tend to work harder on other shows, as well. But there is also a burden. I worry that they may think I don't live up to what I showed on 'Infinity Challenge.'"

The singer wasn't afraid to bring up the times he would feel a slump in his variety career. He confided, "The variety landscape is constantly changing. People say that your popularity has waned when you appear on a show that is not as big. Rather than a slump, I went through hard times. I have to do [variety] with a bright image but it was hard when I was being compared to the other members [of ZE:A]."

Though others may compare the members of ZE:A, there is no tension among the group, as Kwanghee relayed that they supported him all throughout the 'Infinity Challenge' music festival. He said, "The members really liked [seeing me] on the music festival. They even said that we should do a song [like "Mapsosa"]."

It's awesome that Kwanghee is showcasing his talents in the realms of singing and variety!

ZE:A to release a best-of album with brand new track 'Continue'!

ZEA_1441941579_af_org.jpg

We were promised a new album before Minwoo's enlistment, but it seems the album will actually be dropping after his enlistment according to the details released by Star Empire! ZE:A are set to release an album filled with the best of their past songs plus a new track titled "Continue"!

Their 'Best Album' will include a total of 23 previously released tracks plus the one new track "Continue" along with never before seen photos in the physical album!

"Continue" is created by the composing team e.one, and is described to have a delicate yet appealing melody with sharp rap and a magnificent chorus. It's been a long time since their last album release, over a year in fact, so this album is long overdue.

The album will have 2 CDs with a photobook, and will be released online on September 18 at noon KST, and offline on September 23.
