On April 20, Star Empire announced, "Members of the sub-unit ZE:A J are each going to release a solo for the first time in Korea. The first runner up is Kevin."

 

The digital single titled "Collection" is composed and written by the idol star. It is an upbeat dance song that portrays the story of a guy, who is trying to win the heart of one special girl.

 

Kevin shared a comment on his solo comeback as he said, "I worked my best to prepare for this first solo song. I believe this can be a small present for the waiting fans. I will work to become Kevin who repays the love with good music."

ZE:A’s Dongjun will be releasing his first-ever solo track since his debut!

 

His agency Star Empire stated on May 3, “ZE:A J’s solo project has released Kevin’s and Jung Heechul’s solo tracks so far, and now it will reveal Dongjun’s solo track ‘Healing’ today, at midnight.â€

 

Prior to this, ZE:A’s unit group ZE:A J, with Kevin, Jung Heechul, and Dongjun, has released its Japanese album “Just Tonight†on April 20. This album also includes Korean versions of the songs in the album to thank the fans who were with them for all this time.

 

Dongjun has self-produced and wrote his song “Healing,†which is described as a slow-jam. The song thanks the fans for being with him for so long and expresses his love towards them.

 

Dongjun expressed, “It’s an honor. I think it’s because of the fans’ huge love that I was able to release my first solo track. I hope fans can be comforted hearing this song, which has beautiful melody and lyrics.â€

 

Meanwhile, Dongjun is currently promoting under the unit group ZE:A J and starring in KBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul Ho.â€

Following the news of After School’s Uee’s new relationship, fans have been posting supportive messages on Kwanghee’s Instagram.

 

On May 3, Uee’s company, Pledis Entertainment, officially confirmed that she was in a relationship with actor Lee Sang Yoon. They stated that the two had started dating earlier this year.

 

As soon as the news came out, fans started writing warm and encouraging messages on Kwanghee’s personal Instagram, since he is well known for having a long-time crush on Uee.

 

Fan messages included, “Kwanghee, cheer up, don’t cry,†“Even if Uee is gone, you can still be friends,†and “Kwanghee fighting. There are lots of other girls.â€

He competed against names that every K-pop and K-Drama lover would recognize to take the top spot! IU of 'You're the Best Lee Soon Shin' and 'Producer' came in 5th, Yoochun of 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal' came in 4th, UEE was 3rd, Suzy was 2nd, and Siwan took 1st place.

The 'Wedding Boys' stole hearts of married couples on 'Infinity Challenge'!

 

Three teams performed for the May 14th's episode of the 'Infinity Challenge' wedding singers special. Jung Jun Ha's team of musical actors sang Elvis Presley's "Can't Stop Falling in Love" and earned 134 votes. Park Myung Soo sang with Jang Bum Joon and earned 118 votes.

 

However, while the first two teams did great, hearts were stolen by the Wedding Boys - made up of Kwanghee, B2ST's Doojoon, CNBLUE's Yonghwa, and actor Lee Joon. The team is made up of Kwanghee's best friends, and they sang Bruno Mars' "Marry You" and Lee So Ra's "Proposal". So far, they gathered the most points with 167 votes.

ZE:A’s Dongjun Performs Thrilling Cover Of Super Junior’s “Uâ€- Soompi

ZE:A member Dongjun is turning heads with a recent cover of Super Junior’s song “Uâ€!

On May 21, Dongjun’s agency Star Empire confirmed that he would be moving on to the next round on China’s singing competition show, CCTV3’s “Avenue of Stars: Super Edition.â€

For his performance on May 20, Dongjun sang a rock version of Super Junior’s 2006 hit “U.†Star Empire stated, “Dongjun effortlessly captivated the audience with his fierce choreography and unshaking, powerful live.â€

Dongjun is the only Korean participant out of eight contestants, and yet he received a huge response from the audience. After his performance, Dongjun said, “I’m very grateful to have made fifth place. I’ll prepare to work as hard as I did to get to the next round to make first place next time.â€

Kwanghee, Jung Yong Hwa, and Lee Joon Put On Surprise Performance As The “Wedding Boys†- Soompi

 

On this week’s episode of “Infinite Challenge,†the Wedding Boys successfully put on their surprise wedding performance. The Wedding Boys consists of “Infinite Challenge†member Kwanghee, CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, and former MBLAQ member Lee Joon.

 

This episode that aired May 21 is a continuation of the “Wedding Singers†series, where “Infinite Challenge†members prepare and perform surprise congratulatory performances at weddings that request their attendance.

 

Unfortunately, BEAST member Yoon Doo Joon, who was originally part of the Wedding Boys, was not able to make the performance due to his schedule. Kwanghee, Jung Yong Hwa, and Lee Joon met with the performance requesters, who were high school students preparing their own performance for their teacher’s wedding, and practiced their surprise performance together. The Wedding Boys wore outfits that resembled school uniforms in preparation.

 

On the day of the wedding, after the students’ sang their own congratulatory song, the Wedding Boys made their surprise appearance, visibly surprising the groom, bride, and wedding guests.

Upcoming Chinese drama 'Black Cat' is definitely a must-watch because not only will it be starring INFINITE's L, but also ZE:A's Siwan!

ZE:A′s Park Hyung Sik has been featured on the cover of Chinese K-Lifestyle Magazine.

 

Park Hyung Sik′s agency, Star Empire Entertainment, revealed images from the star′s photo spread with Chinese K-Lifestyle Magazine.

 

 

In the revealed photos, Park Hyung Sik captures the heart of many female fans with his simple look.

 

Park Hyung Sik debuted in 2010 with his group ZE:A and received love for his role as the ′baby soldier′ in Real Men. He went on to showing his acting abilities through his roles in dramas The Heirs, High Society and more.

 

During the interview after the shoot, Park Hyung Sik stated, "I am currently focusing on filming for drama ′Hwarang′ and I will be playing the role of Sammaekjong."

Kwanghee’s Totally Innocent Drawing Has “Infinite Challenge†Cast Rolling On The Floor - Soompi

 

 

On the June 11 episode of MBC’s “Infinite Challenge,†the cast members teamed up in pairs with webtoon writers for a pictionary-type quiz game, where one member draws clues on a pad of paper for his partner to try and guess.

 

Kwanghee, teamed up with graphic novelist Yoon Tae Ho, most famous for his works “Moss†and “Incomplete Life,†had to draw various sports for Yoon Tae Ho to guess.

 

Several sports were drawn and guessed without incident, but when the clue “wrestling†came up, the entire cast and crew cracked up with Kwanghee’s rushed illustration.

 

 

Kwanghee, in a hurry with the clock winding down, said, “What? It’s right!†and Yoon Tae Ho, still laughing, said the correct answer for Kwanghee. Clearly, wrestling.

 

Already started on drawing the next clue, Kwanghee ends up speeding through several clues, to the dismay of the rest of the cast.

ZE:A’s Kwanghee shows how much his art skills have improved!

 

On June 25, the idol posted a photo of portraits he drew of EXO’s Suho (real name Kim Joon Myun) and Baekhyun, along with a caption that says “Joon Myun, Byun Baek, Monster.â€

 

The drawings appear to be from performance stills of the two EXO members, complete with their makeup and intense facial expressions.

 

 

 

The photo also includes the reactions and compliments he received from Suho and Baekhyun when he supposedly showed them the drawings over text message.

It looks like Kwanghee was right all this time when he spoke of his close friendship with BIGBANG’s G-Dragon!

On the August 27 episode of the MBC variety show “Infinite Challenge,†G-Dragon appears as a guest for their “2016 Muhan Company†special.

 

As they film on set with the rest of the cast members, G-Dragon notices that Kwanghee is still being a bit careful around the cast and he encourages him. Touched by his action, Kwanghee reveals a similarly encouraging message that he had received from G-Dragon previously.

 

In the message, G-Dragon wrote, “Kwanghee, are you doing well? I’m watching your broadcasts. You’re thinking about a lot of things these days, aren’t you? You’re doing well so broaden your shoulders and be confident. You’re funny. Don’t feel pressured and work hard. Star Empire Entertainment said on September 8, “It is true that Kim Dong Jun is going to be in ‘I Still Love You.’ Because it is a daily drama, he is preparing as thoroughly as he can, and is very much looking forward to the drama.â€

 

Kim Dong Jun previously appeared in KBS 2TV’s “Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul Ho,†which starred Park Shin Yang and Kang Sora.

Star Empire Entertainment Addresses Rumors Around ZE:A’s Contract Ending - Soompi

 

 

 

 

Boy group ZE:A, which includes Im Siwan, Park Hyung Sik, Kwanghee, and Kim Dong Jun, has been surrounded by rumors that their contract with Star Empire Entertainment has ended.

 

On October 20, a source from the agency denied the rumors. “ZE:A still has time left on their contract,†they said. “The rumor that they are free agents (FA) is not true. Right now the members are discussing [their contract] among themselves. We will take legal action against any agencies who try to contact a celebrity who is still under our contract.â€

 

Previously a media outlet had reported that ZE:A’s contract would expire in December and they would become free agents and likely disband the group.

 

ZE:A last released music together last September with the highlight album “Continue.†Members Minwoo and Taehun are completing their mandatory military service while the other members have been divided among various solo activities.

Im Siwan will soon be making a decision whether or not to continue with his current agency, Star Empire Entertainment.

 

A Star Empire source stated on November 28, “Im Siwan’s exclusive contract ends in January. He has not yet decided whether he will extend his contract with us or not. Reports that he has decided to become a free agent are false. We are currently still in talks.â€

 

Previously, one media outlet had reported that Im Siwan was searching for a new agency ahead of his contract’s expiry date. Fans of ZE:A, the idol group in which Im Siwan debuted, are also eager to know whether the group will continue or if the members will depart to different agencies.

 

Im Siwan debuted with ZE:A in 2010 and has worked as both a singer and actor ever since, with a focus on the latter in recent years. He has appeared in hits like the tvN drama “Incomplete Life (Misaeng)†and the film “The Attorney.â€

On April 8, Kim Dong Jun sat down for an interview with KBS 2TV’s “Entertainment Weekly.â€

 

During the interview, he talked about the fact that ZE:A was unable to win No. 1 on a music show even though members like Im Siwan, Park Hyung Sik, and Kwanghee gained immense popularity.

 

“Our group came up with a unique strategy. We decided to spread out as far as possible before returning to the starting point. We’re just expanding our network right now.
