Why do people say SNSD's never done sexy concepts?

I read this often, and I'm like what about Genie, Chocolate Love, Hoot, Mr.Taxi.. They were all sexy and even Oh and RDR to a degree.

If this is not sexy, then Idk.

I know people praise SNSD for "not having sexy concepts", but albeit, they too had quite a few of them. Sexy marine/police officers, sexy cheerleaders, sexy Bond girls.. Those were all kinda fetish concepts tbh. I'm not judging here, just to be clear, I thoroughly enjoyed those concepts lol.

And I know back in the day feminists used to nag SNSD for fetishizing professions and pandering to male fanbase and what not.

I guess people have this opinion of SNSD never going sexy because in recent years other girl groups took "sexy" to another level to get their name out there (again not judging, the days are tough).

It seems like I've answered my own question writing this elaboration, but you're still free to discuss this lol.

basically what you said

they have non cute concepts and songs more than once but they aren't try hard about it. in an interview tiffany was asked if snsd would have a sexy concept and she said not sexy but mature. the sexy concept in recent years has been tied with being over the top in trying to be too provocative. snsd haven't done it like that

Genie was a sexy concept

But it's classy sexy

Indeed, but the video was about you playing the guy, entering the bedroom of your ideal girls while they promise to make your wishes and desires come true lol.

Not complaining, I enjoyed that shit. But they never fulfilled my wishes

Because it's not provocative or suggestive, there's no sexual innuendo in their dance moves and they're not humping the air/floor lol

When people get hated for sexy concepts it's not because they're wearing shorts.

It is slightly suggestive though

A lot of people usually confuse sexy concept with being a sl*t, I'm not judging, but some people here understand sexy as "move the ass in front of camera" like Hello Venus i.e. so it depends on the person who is watching usually idiots and horny fangirls or fanboys

Yes, agreed.

How do you know it was anything impossible? Maybe my poor little wish was only to pass an exam.....

The amount of times that people are going to bring this up.... seriously.

Sexy (sex-appeal) is used in EVERY group's concepts.... even the cute ones like Apink, how they approach the sex appeal varies though. You have groups like Wa$$up, HELLOVENUS & Rania who uses the explicit type of sex appeal, then you have Apink & Lovelyz who takes a more flirtatious, innocent pedo-bait type of sex-appeal.

SNSD, takes a more classy sort of sex appeal approach, their dance moves are suggestive, yes... and their shorts are really short... but you have to remember, that in Korea... legs aren't as sexed-up as the chest area and SNSD are modest in this area. Their type of sexy is just much much more acceptable and FAR LESS scandalous (if scandalous at all) in Korea.

You see 9 hot genies and you wish to pass an exam  :imstupid:

I did not specify what kind of exam.

But you're not supposed to reveal wishes to others, otherwise they won't come true!

Also, when did Chocolate Love count as a comeback? lol.

Lol, where did I state it counted as an official comeback? I know it was an LG promotional single, but it still had a video and videos have concepts.
