all I can say is that brace yourself Eun BI x Tae Kwang, Eun Byul x Yi An shippers, your hearts would be broken after watching ep 15.

A question, did something significant happen to Eun Byul? Did they make Eun Byul sad, suffer, or something? Or the opposite?

I need to brace myself in advanced if they proceed to make Eun Byul sad because I adore her

Imma just make my own fanfiction and ending then pretend the ending never existed, if anything happened in the ending doesn't make sense. I can accept it if it makes sense, but if it doesn't, just nah.

According to the hints and spoilers I read here, it made me not want to watch the 2 remaining episodes anymore  Damn you writers

So what YA said to TK about competing in the preview is about love after all? Damn you YA a girl's heart is not a game. I'm just so done with you dude bye

If you watch the episode, they actually explain the YiByul thing well (Eunbyul and Yiahn's convo was really meaningful) and why it didn't work out. Eunbyul isn't sad, suffering or anything lol gurl is still her sassy self

Thanks, you made my desire to watch rise again. If she's not devastated or anything because of that, it made me feel better.

From how this drama explained why YiByul didn't work out, I can accept it because it does make sense. I'm glad Eun Byul was not that sad (she did feel a bit sad imo but not really sad), didn't cry or anything especially because of YA thing, because if the writers managed to make Eun Byul like that especially because of YA, ngl I was so ready to chop YA into pieces.

I'm still sad that they don't get together though, especially considering what they said about how they used to interact, like YA used to wait for Eun Byul until she finished reading (because I didn't want to leave, YA said), whenever Eun Byul yelled at YA tears would well up in his eyes (lol), YA kept liking her all along ever since he's 8 years old, and that he kept waiting and hoping for Eun Byul because he knew Eun Byul was also contemplating about it too. They're cute but it's sad because it's not like that anymore and it's all in the past. Based on the things they all said, I also don't think his love for Eun Byul is shallow. Actually it's pretty impressive for him to keep on with his love that long like that especially when it's unrequited. So I can accept if he changed his heart for someone else, it's just I can't shrug off the bugging feeling that it's her twin sis who has the same face whom he changed his heart for. It's somehow like he likes Eun Bi because she's the better, warmer version of Eun Byul. That's the only thing that still bugged me until now.

With that being said, I still don't think Eun Byul only has platonic feelings for him. I'm pretty sure she has an inkling of liking YA as more than friends, but she's so used to YA being by her side thus she's taking him for granted, and that inkling of feelings isn't enough for her to move their relationship going past from being best friends, that's why Eun Byul never gave in either and their relationship stayed that way.

Still, there's one moment that made me angry tbh, which is when YA said "At that time, I thought I was angry at Eun Bi because I dislike her. But it turned out that I was angry because I liked Eun Bi." For some reasons this sentence rubbed me off in the wrong way I can't really pinpoint why. Maybe because at that time Eun Byul was known as dead to him recently but he's angry with Eun Bi because he liked her already? On this point I think it's pretty inconsistent with his long lasting love for Eun Byul previously and his love does sound to be shallow on this point only.

Also, although I have accepted why YiByul didn't work out, I still don't like watching YiBi moments. It's like I wanna pretend I wasn't watching it and wanna skip it, but I'm not the type who skip scenes just because I don't like the scenes so I can't help but watching it, because I'm the type who will watch the whole drama unless it's so horrible, after all. I'm still trying to not really focus on their scenes when there are YiBi moments though lol

And the fact that I accepted YiByul not working out also doesn't erase my (kind of) traumatic experience from it lol It does make me feel better but it doesn't make it go away. Especially if I see Nam Joo Hyuk, I don't think I'll get a good feeling from seeing him for a while lols

Btw, Idk why I find Eun Byul more interesting and endearing when I discovered that her hobby are reading and (seems to be) studying. I mean, I've always known she's intelligent because she gets #1 for her grade, but it's refreshing to know that she likes reading and studying. Maybe because she didn't seem to be the type especially because of her nonchalant attitude (Eun Bi seems to be more like the type). Strangely I love her even more for that haha. Also unni/big sis role suits Eun Byul so much

I love how Eun Byul is still a badass and nice in her own way until now. In the next episode I'm looking forward to Eun Byul kicking SY's ass for real, it'll be a nice sight. I hope Eun Bi stands up and fight in her own way too instead of keep letting others protecting her, but it seems like it's not the case later, which is a pity since I wanna see Eun Bi's development to be someone stronger and more assertive.

I saw this floating around but it was such a far fetched rumor that I didn't share it. Also the person at the end just says "believe it or not"

First spoiler says that Eunbyul will be going abroad (lolwut)

It says that there was a time lapse picture of taekwang wearing the winter uniform, yiahn's hairstyle changed, and Sohyun was wearing a hair pin (meaning her hairstyle also changed) but none of Eunbyul.

[[this is me and not part of the post, I do remember a few pages back that Taegwang was talking to Eunbyul (who had straight hair) I concluded it was Eunbyul because of the way she stood (arms crossed)

CHearBQW8AIKbyY.jpg

Taegwang had a running scene after that or something. Eunbyul is wearing the winter uniform too. I also think its her cuz doesnt make sense that Eunbi stays at Sekang high while Eunbyul goes to study abroad?]]

The second spoiler is..

Taegwang goes to Eunbi at the bus stop.

Taegwang meets Eunbi at the park at night. (That is why they posted up an insta pic of fliming at the park at night, but the person doesn't know if Taegwang is there)

Yiahn and Eunbi meet each other at the bus stop.

The last line is "It's okay because we're still 18 years old."

[note: the teacher said these words to the students before he left the classroom]

If the writers send Eunbyul off to study abroad then they were on something while writing the script lol

I'm calling bs on the abroad thing, but the last line could be true.

The first pic you posted in this post, she really is Eun Byul. I saw some other pics of this scene that is shot from another angle and with different action so you can see her face clearly and her keeping her folding arms pose in different action. So I don't think Eun Byul will study abroad.

Do you see that stone sitting right beside our sunken ship? Sign... :imstupid:

Nvm. This is a better otp/bromance. Love triangle where????

Just a random thought. Episode 15 seemed a bit disjointed in regards to the flow of scenes. Or some scenes just had me raising an eyebrow. Like where Yian suddenly started beating up the guy I was taken aback. I know they had to make a scenario that would take yian and his father to the police station but it was awkward imo-it just came out of no where (are they squishing scenes in now?). + this also made me shake my head at the writers because they could have written out more depth to Yian's relationship with his father. 1. It would have given Yian more depth as a character other than being the moping/sweet guy and 2. It would have made that protecting scene in episode 15 more meaningful. But that protecting scene didn't serve to develop Yian-the writers just used it to develop Taekwang. :unimpressed: im all in for Taekwang development but I think what made a lot of us not connect with Yian was the fact that he was legit a flat character. I wanted to like Yian and appreciate him but I couldn't. (Like what happened to yian accepting a cf deal to help his father financially?) Oh wellz meditating puppy it is.

I'm with you about it. It is weird. But well I don't have any high expectation from the writers anymore considering how they made things go on by now.

I'm using my phone so hope this works...

Hahah from the way you guys put in it seems like the writers were on drugs when they wrote the ending. I'm not even surprised anymore.

I feel bad for the actors especially KSH now. She had much more scenes so she must be so exhausted filming with really tight schedule. But at least KSH really shines in this drama.

Ah I wanna be back to Angry Mom days, it's a high school drama where everything is so good, exciting, and consistent. The ending is done well too. *advertising*

Im sure the drama giving more recognition that KSH need, and Sungjae too. But Im curious about the reaction from knetz. I hope KSH  wont get any hate.

I think the one who will be getting hate are the writer and.. Nam Joo Hyuk. For me too. Only few hours after I said Yi Ahn character became more understandable for me, he started to piss me off again, lol. And I cant see an improvement in his acting at the last episode.

I started to think that KBS is very good at destroying viewer's expectation, lol.

But this drama did it only at the last 2 episodes. Maybe KBS only need the increase of the rating for this timeslot, and maybe they dont care at all if viewers satisfied with the ending or not

I read that NJH is getting a lot of hate in his instagram and other SNS. If you see NJH pics from the wrap up party pics, he looked down and not in a good mood as much as others (especially if you compare him with Sungjae who's so bright in all of the pics). Maybe he's not in a good mood much because of the hate he received. I feel bad for him, although his acting is subpar until the end, it's not his fault if the story and his character went awry like that. If they want to rage they should rage at the writers not at him.

But while I'm saying this, even I myself don't really want to see NJH pics for this mean time because I will be reminded by the traumatic events in the drama related to him. But of course I don't hate him and have no hard feelings for the actor.

After seeing more spoilers you guys wrote, it seems like the ending is crazier than I thought. Just wow.

THE ENDING GUYS...

IS FUCKING MESS!!! HOW THE HELL THE WRITERS GET PAID WITH SHITTY STORY LIKE THIS?? MY EUNBYUL JUST WENT TO STUDY OVERSEAS? 10 YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP AND 'ALMOST CONFESSION' JUST TURN INTO NOTHING? JEEZ

'Almost confession'? Is there any other confession? Please spoil me

I think the ending wasn't so terri terribad, but it is so lackluster and kinda bad because of the nonsensical things. There are quite a lot of scenes that don't make sense and things I want to rant about, I don't even know where to begin:

  • Why did Eun Bi cry when TK said all that for the last time? I don't get it. Because she pitied him?
  • Sending Eun Byul abroad IS random. At first I thought, ah it's not that random because Eun Byul said "I've always wanted to do this but back then mom only had me blabla.." But studying abroad when they're in the middle of attending high school is random, especially when Eun Byul didn't even say what's the subject she's gonna study and this thing wasn't explored a bit more. Can't help but to think that they did this to lighten the burden of KSH and to make a way for Eun Bi to transfer back to Sekang randomly
  • What's with Eun Bi randomly transferring back to Sekang high school? They didn't even explain the reason. Why bother to make Eun Bi transferred to another school in the first place?
  • The scene of the new teacher emphasizing how strict he is is random and pretty unnecessary. It's like they wanted to say something at first but left it hanging
  • Eun Bi's development is so lackluster until the end. She's actually better than that if you consider how she was in the first few episodes, but after her with YA fiascos and everything she became so submissive and kept letting someone else handled things she should have handled by herself until the end. There's the final scene of her with SY but I'm not satisfied with that. It doesn't show what Eun Bi was capable of, it's not even Eun Bi who took initiative to end things with SY. In the end Eun Bi character became the typical damsel in distress whom is loved by two guys who competed with each other to get her love, and it's frustrating to watch her at times. Eun Byul character is much more interesting than Eun Bi, so much that I want Eun Byul to have her own spinoff or her own drama, or maybe this whole drama should have had Eun Byul as the main character from the start, it might be much more enjoyable to watch. I DEMAND EUN BYUL TO HAVE HER OWN DRAMA! (just don't screw it up afterwards)
  • I agree that YA is the most lackluster character in terms of character development and description. He's so typical and flat
  • The ending feels like they're getting rid of Eun Byul to make a way for Eun Bi in order to keep the status of Eun Bi as the main character. Eun Byul deserves better than being getting rid of like that. What's wrong with making the twins go to the same school? Why should Eun Byul go abroad?
  • Eun Byul is so awesome until the end that I feel sad for saying goodbye to her character especially how she's being getting rid of just like that  :rlytearpls: SHE DESERVES BETTER! GET EUN BYUL HER OWN DRAMA! #EunByulfordramamaincharacter2015

Okay, the good thing from episode 16 is there's not much YiBi fluffs that I'm a bit thankful for the writers to not shove all of those in our face (I accepted YiByul not working out but I still don't like YiBi and YiBi scenes), and at least didn't make them becoming a couple right away because like Eun Bi said, she needed time to claim her name back and establish her life first.

I might say more later if I'm reminded of it.

The more I think about the ending, the less I like it

At the end, Eun Bi ended up totally replacing EunByeol, instead of starting her own life. The same class, same friends, even the same love interest

I thought they would make the twins either transfer together OR they'd make them stay on that school together. Both of them. I dont like how they sended EunByeol to study overseas just to take her out of the picture. It just doesnt sit well with me.

Also, whats with all the transfering? Why move to another school at all if you're going to transfer again for no reason

This. All of this.

Eun Byul is one of the most awesome characters there but the ending of her character doesn't give her justice  :rlytearpls:

At least they didn't make her went bad or something that can ruin her character. I was kinda afraid of this back then.

Okay. I just had the guts to watch it again and I am really loving Jo Soohyang. I felt really sorry for her during her confrontation with her dad and with Eunbi I almost cried. She looked so pitiful and hopeless I forgot she was one heck of a tormentor. I hope she gets cast in other dramas because SHE'S REALLY GOOD

I feel sorry for Nam Joohyuk. But Yi Ahn, he's a really depressing character. He could've been so much more than that. And all this riot about Eunbi and Taewang  wouldn't have ensued in the first place if he was developed more by the writers instead of leading people on with TaeBi.

I agree with the one I colored red. The writers are a mess smh.

Lol I agree with the comments especially with one I colored blue.

And btw I just remember, what's the point of Eun Bi claiming her name back at another school, only to transfer back to Sekang afterwards? What a nonsense.

I too feel that Taekwang's character feels more like the first male lead, he has so many people around him caring for him, the teacher, that guy kid who is haena's boyfriend, even the iljin girl notice and bothered him.

Yi Ahn's character feels like he doesn't exist in the school, no one in the class ever bothered about Yi Ahn's existence. Even until the last few episodes when i see Yi Ahn in the classroom, and i was like "Oh so this kid was in the same class".

Yi Ahn only appears when Eun Bi needs to walk at night, his character doesn't add to anything to the storyline of Eunbi's problem in school.

Taekwang goes through alot of character development, people around him notices him, he is the main pivot of the story, he is the one that broke the locker key. Without his character, who can move the story?

The drama ended in a strange way. So the ending is where Yi Ahn appear out of nowhere in the bus, abit surreal. While Taekwang meets Eunbi at the place that they always meet, the roof, which fit the storyline better.

The writer could have made Taekwang-Eunbi ending in the end, because at the end it was weird that Eunbi was the one calling Taekwang to the roof, she doesn't have to do that unless she likes Taekwang.

Also if she returns to the school because she needs to be together with Taekwang, it fits the story better. In the end, you can see Eunbi can meet Yi Ahn randomly even in a bus, she doesn't need to return to the school to be with Yi Ahn.

_______________

Edit: Btw, Yi Ahn doesn't look like he's suffering when he gave that medal as a last goodbye. Like he may never see Eunbi again for the rest of his life, and he still looks cool and composed. And he even coolly ask "Are you gonna see my tournament?" Like that's not even the point, your girl gonna go to a different district, start a new life, you might never see her again lol.

While Taekwang looks so miserable, even asking if it was tomorrow or days later that Eunbi was going to move, even giving her a proper farewell speech and a proper love confession.

So Yi Ahn and Eunbi met again after 6 months, but the expression both had is like "Eh we meet again after 1 day being apart".

While Taekwang looks so happy to see Eunbi, then looks miserable thinking it might not be Eunbi.

The ending, sorry for keep repeating it, a tragic.

Agree.

Let me add the fact that Eun Bi calling Tae Kwang to the roof randomly despite him saying that he'd keep liking her. If she didn't want to give hope for TK why the hell did she do that? Especially from the way she called him. Even if she did that out of wanting to be friends with him again, she should have taken what he said last time they met into consideration, and calling him just like that was so out of place if she didn't want to give hope to him and chose YA.

Smh writers you just ruined it all.

  • 1 month later...

I just finished watching In Time With You recently. It's a Taiwanese drama, which is the original version of The Time We Were Not In Love. In this drama, the main leads, You Qing and Da Ren, reminds me so much of Eun Byul and Yi Ahn (for those who only have watched the K-ver, don't think that YQ and DR have similar characters with Won and Hana because they're actually different). You Qing and Li Da Ren characterization are similar with Eun Byul and Yi Ahn, which made me even sadder that Eun Byul didn't end up with Yi Ahn like the main leads in that drama (though frankly speaking, Li Da Ren is still >>>>> Yi Ahn despite having similar temperament, because YA is so man-handling and is a crappily written character). But the dynamic between Eun Byul and Yi Ahn is so similar with You Qing and Da Ren, which made me sad that Eun Byul didn't end up with YA  And it made me had a second thought that YA ending up with Eun Bi really didn't make sense and wouldn't last long. I feel like if the story is continued for a bit more until they're adults, YA might have dated Eun Bi for a short time then went back to Eun Byul again because he realized the one he really did like was Eun Byul lol

The scene when Eun Byul and YA talked in a cafe about Eun Byul disclosing her vulnerable side and all is really similar with You Qing - Da Ren dynamic. For those who ship YA and Eun Byul, I suggest you guys to watch In Time With You to soothe your heart lol, I guarantee this drama will worth your time because this drama is so good and it has lots of life lessons too.
