What's the name of the webtoon? It sounds interesting

Cheese In The Trap. The story I mentioned is just one story of what the female lead had to go through though, since the female lead has many things she had to go through, so the story doesn't revolve on that story alone.

The webtoon is pretty long and hasn't ended, but I highly recommend this webtoon since the story is so good and realistic. It's also a popular webtoon in Korea and there has been some talks to make it into a drama.

In case you're interested and decided to read it:

http://www.oddsquad.org/p/cheese-in-trap.html

In this story that nerd is so delusional, until the point that I think she should seek professional help.

I have a speculation that it seems like Soo In is delusional for thinking Eun Byul is her friend while Eun Byul doesn't like her. It reminds me of something I've read from a webtoon: an weird introverted nerd admired another girl whom she views as her idol/ideal, then she proceed to try being her friend, copied everything she has like her style, her items, etc, and followed her in a creepy way. This annoyed the hell out of the other girl so this other girl tries to talk this out with the nerd and avoided her. At first the nerd was persistent and was getting worse, for the example stealing her things just so that she can be like her, so the other girl told her more firmly. The nerd was offended and pissed because she thinks this other girl acting like she's all that, so she came to hate this other girl. Everything this other girl did and said, she delusionally thought that she did those things to outcast her, mock her, etc when it's not like that at all.

Eun Byul is someone who's charismatic and pretty popular, so it's possible for her to be the other girl and Soo In be the nerd. But what made me doubt this theory is that as I recall, Eun Byul and Soo In were getting along when they're in elementary school and Eun Byul often went to Soo In's home back then. Someone can correct me about that since I don't remember it clearly.

I had the same exact thought

That's the thing, she doesn't know that Taekwang has interest in her.. yet. (This part is obvious) Even Taekwang is still struggling to figure out and sort his feelings for Eunbi.

And I explained why she consulted Taekwang about Yi Ahn. For one, she feels almost completely comfortable with Taekwang and actively seeks him out to vent out her conflicts after he confronts her about the whole "Eunbyul" situation. Second, Yi Ahn is an important person to "Eunbyul" as "Eunbyul" is an important person to Yi Ahn. I'll just copy and paste what I wrote in the post you quoted because you somehow managed to skip over that :

What's the name of the webtoon? It sounds interesting

that's it. a girl shouldn't feel 'comfortable' around her boyfriend but her friend. a girl wants to be the "ideal' girl, not herself, before her boyfriend.

and no, taekwang didn't struggle to sort out his feeling at all. he clearly in love with eunbi, just too shy to tell her directly.

I think that the writers personally favored Yi An from the beginning. I really liked Yi An from the start because he's the ideal best friend and ideal guy every girl could hope for ( and he's personally more like my type.) Hadn't Tae Kwang come along and ruined my bias because of his antics and eccentric personality, I would have rooted for Yi An. But with the response Sungjae has been getting, it's likely that the scripting will be revised to favor Tae Kwang. Or, something could happen in the next episodes that would make us consider shifting on who to root for. If it does happen, then the end game will probably be Yi An and Eunbi.

Offtopic: I really like how the main characters are well-written. Eunbi is being persecuted by an insecure bitch for things she stood up for. She's not being whiny about how messed up her life turned out and she's firm with her decisions.

Tae Kwang, on the other hand, really surprised me with how much likeable he is. He's the typical delinquent son of a wealthy man who wants nothing to do with him. He's always the instigator of chaos and he's up to no good but will immensely change for the better because the girl of his dreams came along. It's the formula for typical teenage romantic kdrama. If he was anything like Kim Tan personality-wise, I would have hated him to ends of the Earth. I like that this isn't another drama with chaebol kids going around school wasting their parents' money just because they can. He's a delinquent alright. But because of his background and characterization, he doesn't come off as an egoistic and dumb a-hole. If anything, he's a very refined and funny a-hole at the same time and I love it.

Yi An is your flower boy next door. He's Eunbyeol's childhood friend and he shares ten years of memory with her. What I like about him is that he doesn't overreact to anything. He makes fun of Eunbyeol and Eunbyeol gets annoyed by him. Instead of getting angry in return, he tried to console her (which unfortunately wasn't successful). When Eunbi came back as Eunbyeol, he didn't force her into remembering anything (as is with him choosing to give the medal at the right moment). He just felt sad that of all things she could "forget" was their memory together. At the same time, he knows when to stop. Because he was Eunbyeol's friend, he has every right to get worried for her and was disappointed at how he's being kept in the dark. He became distant to make Eunbi realize that she can't keep all to herself all the time and that she wants her to trust him when it comes to issues that concern her. He doesn't want her to tell him everything right away, but he wants her to share her pain with him so that she doesn't suffer alone and at the same time, he won't feel useless being with her.

All in all, this drama, in my opinion, doesn't have any unlikeable character( except for So Young for obvious reasons, but that just means she makes a great villain).

If that logic applies to all people, bestfriends turn lovers, childhood friends turn lovers wouldn't have existed. Just saying.

sooin might be delusional and thought eunbyul still liked her as she did in primary school. i knew a mad girl who failed to realized how others offended her and still tagged around. sometimes, i felt bad for her that no one liked her but her inability to grasp reality was annoying and quite creepy.

seemingly, she thought sooin's mother would harm eunbi.

someone noticed that the intern teacher shares the same family with sooin, jung. may she relate to sooin?

Yeah I'm starting to think Sooin was confused. But something must have happened between them because they used to hang out. I want to know what created a change.

Yeah I get that impression from the mom's reaction. But again, why? Has there been an incident with Sooin's mother?

I have a speculation that it seems like Soo In is delusional for thinking Eun Byul is her friend while Eun Byul doesn't like her. That's right. I hope the writers wrap every clue together logically. We've gotten so many small details so I hope they all fit into the big picture.

Also @Blue_Knight. I completely agree. None of the characters have annoyed me. So far they've all adequately reacted to the situations that they have to confront. Makes it more realistic.

That one dude who doesnt have a lot of lines and also played in Shut up Flower boy looks soooo much like BTS Jimin, he's btw really cute and Yi Ahn's swim buddy too

Yes, my eyes have been fixed on him too. His dimples...

Certainly I hoped more in this episode, I don't know why but it was slow for me.

I don't like the fact that everyone is forgetting Eun Byul, I mean I'm happy that Eun Bi is being accepted for who she is and not her sister, but at the same time it seems that Eun Byul wasn't very importatnt.

I don't know why but after this episode I think Eun Byul won't come back, Eun Bi is beginning to act like Eun Byul, is like she is replacing her, I'm perfectly fine how Eun Bi acts with that bully bitch but with this and Yi Han liking more Eun Bi now...

Eun Byul was paranoid then? Shi jin was innocent and when Eun Byul screamed no one was there.

Soo in's mother gives me creeps, and why she says that she have came to buy things for her daughter? I hope she is talking about another daughter or definitely she is mental.

I'm feeling very bad for Park Min Joon, what a horrible mother he has, when she calls loser for not scoring 100, I think he will try to kill himself for pressure and not being the perfect son.

So Yeong is completely ill, she thinks she is the victim and not the villain, well fuck you, and I think Eun Bi will mock her again in the next episode, good for Eun Bi.

The new teacher is beautiful and cute so obviously I don't trust in her, I think she has ulterior motives for being there.

I really missed Tae Kwang in this episode, i know he has had some scenes but not enought for me.

The start of ep. 8 has already proved (for me, anyway) why YiAn and EunBi won't work out - he senses something is wrong and off but he just doesn't want to know. He says "You're supposed to get angry now.." which means no matter how much he likes to pretend it, he is much comfortable with the "old' EunByul that he doesn't know how to react when she acts differently.

It's like he's getting to know her all over again, which is painful for him because it's 10(?) years of memories down the drain.

Poor boy - his heart is in the right place, just for the wrong girl.

(I don't understand So Young.. for such a smart girl her logic is non-existent)

So it's bad? i've watched ep 7 this afternoon and mehh, it was worse than the 6 previous episodes. These 6 episodes almost provoked me a heart attack but this has left me indifferent.

I just watched the full episode and yeah.. he's a bit too wrapped around his image of his Eun Byul.

Tbh I might prefer Sungjae but if the writers decide to pull crap like that I will be amazed - all of his reactions so far make it seem he is not even willing to think Eun Byul isn't Eun Byul. He gets angry at Tae Kwang for implying this Eun Byul and the past Eun Byul are different and also gets mad at Eun Bi. It's understandable imo and in character, I mean if he reacted like he was okay with it.. that would be a weird scenario.

Plus.. I don't think he would be able to let go so easily.. sigh idk. Once again, they really do know how to end episodes..

spoilers

OMG THAT ENDING!!!!!!! HOW DO I WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK?!?!?!?

welp, han yi ahn pretty much figured out that she is eunbi not eunbyul....but like seriously where is eunbyul???

it would be awesome if eunbyul appears at the competition, like han yi ahn is having a hard time because of his shoulder and is about to give up when voila! eunbyul shows up saying "are you perhaps giving up? what do you think ur doing? I thought you were better than that" or something like that, and on the stands eunbi and tae kwang embrace each other.

.....okay okay this is just my personal delusional thinking but it would be nice if it happened that way or with all four of them attending school together

I really hate how in almost every drama, the 2 male leads both grab the girl's arm and she is standing like that with a blank face...

And yeah, Yi Ahn is so delusional I can't even...I pity him tho. And I think that new teacher girl has something to do with Soo In...I think she is the one sending these creepy texts.

lol the responses r funny. all caught up in the hand grabbing xDD !!

poor taekwang, he's all unwanted son mode but he can't get in contact w/ eunbi. eunbi's character is really caring to other people so no surprise he likes being around her. he's pretty much alone too.

yiahn must be disappointed finding out that Eunbi isn't Eunbyul. whatever he does from now will determine my feelings toward BiAhn couple lol it would be great if he stayed her friend tho and I think that's what Eunbi wants too.

i see ppl talking about yiahn being too attached to Eunbyul that he can't even see that he's got the wrong girl, but there is one other character being like that, Eunbyul's mom. Eunbyul's mom doesn't call Eunbi by her real name despite knowing Eunbi is not Eunbyul. Neither are really bad for that. Both characters love Eunbyul very much so they just want Eunbyul to be alive, even if they have to make Eunbi their Eunbyul.

I'm glad that I don't really mind who Eunbi ends up with (even though it makes sense she should be w/ taekwang). So whenever she has scenes with Yiahn or Taekwang, I love it haha

That Mafia Leader mom is horrible. someone give her some chill

edit// i love how soyoung has all this evidence that eunbyul is eunbi but eunbi/taekwang are like "so wut u bullied me into suicide. open ur cards bish, i dare u"
