Fortunately those were nothing more than thoughts and I never tried it. As for the question of being selfish, it's no more selfish that someone coercing you into doing something you don't want to do, but I can see the reasoning behind thinking it is. It also depends on the situation, for example, if you have kids that still depends on you for care, it can be considered extremely selfish doing it. When I was 10 years old I saved my sister's life by calling 911, she tried to kill herself, took too much medicine, if I called just 2 minutes later - they wouldn't safe her. urhandsrnaughty 2,648 Posted May 7, 2013 Share Posted May 7, 2013 never. imagine how your family would feel. you didn't just end your own life, you also destroyed the rest of your parents/siblings' lives. and also, to those who have said that they have really thought about it, please do ask for help. it's a very serious thing. once you've committed suicide, there's literally no going back. and you never know how you might handle another serious problem in the future. If the caretaker or breadwinner of a family kills themselves, they leave their surviving relatives destitute.
