Let’s Remember: TVXQ’s Yunho chosen as Japanese female celebrities’ ideal type

We previously reported that AKB48’s Atsuko Maeda expressed interest in TVXQ’s Yunho. She said, “The type I like is a guy who is tall and has a fresh look. TVXQ’s Yunho looks so handsome!†Well, she is not alone. More Japanese female celebrities have expressed their interest in Yunho, claiming that he is their ideal type.

Recently, a Japanese community website revealed pictures of female Japanese celebrities who are Yunho’s fans, attracting much attention. Last month, TVXQ’s 5th Korean album “Why (Keep Your Head Down)†was officially released. Yunho who is currently promoting the album, gained immense popularity within the eyes of Japanese celebrities. 

One of Yunho’s most faithful fans is Japanese model Murata Mari, otherwise known as Marimo. In an interview with Japanese magazine Popteen, she revealed that that her ideal type to date is Yunho. She even has posters of Yunho hung up at her house. Eventually, she got to meet Yunho in person at Popteen’s editing department. 

Recently, Marimo bought TVXQ’s “Why (Keep Your Head Down)†and was chosen to attend their fan meeting. She is currently learning Korean in order to communicate with Yunho.

Besides Marimo, actress Takemi Eri and AKB48’s Kojima Haruna also expressed being Yunho’s fans. In addition, famed Japanese voice actress Ami Koshimizu revealed her thoughts on wanting to marry Yunho. Model Yu Takahashi also revealed that Yunho is her ideal type.

Let’s Remember: AA’s Woosang, “U-Know Yunho Sunbae Helped Me Before I Debutedâ€

Woosang (21, Woo Sang Soo) of 5-membered male idol group Double A (AA), has expressed his gratitude for TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho (25, Jung Yunho).

On November 7, in an interview with TV Report, Woosang began by saying, “I am in personal contact with U-Know Yunho sunbae (senior). Some time ago, I went to the hair salon and there were many sunbaes there.â€

He revealed, “I greeted all the sunbaes and because I was a little disheartened, I just sat down. U-Know Yunho sunbae then came over and introduced me to the other sunbaes.â€

He continued, “U-Know Yunho sunbae told the other sunbaes to take good care of me. He really became a source of strength for me.†He praised U-Know Yunho, “U-Know Yunho sunbae is really a sunbae who is very loyal.†

Before Woosang debuted through AA, he was active as a choreography director and thus became associated with Shinhwa and TVXQ etc.

Meanwhile, AA is a male idol group comprised of Woosang, Aoora (25, Park Geun Ee), Joo Won (23, Hwang Joo Won), Ho Ik (18, Jung Ho Ik), Kimchi (18, Yoo Ye Hyang Gi). They are currently promoting their debut single “Because I’m Crazyâ€.

Singer and talent Solbi chose TVXQ‘s Yunho as the best man in a recent episode of MBC’s Come to Play.

Solbi talked about a time in which she almost drowned while filming a show. She said, â€œI was a rookie back then that had just debuted. Yunho was the first one to come and lend me a hand when I fell. It was a short gesture but it made me realize a lot. He didn’t even know me … I was very touched.â€

It has been a path inundated with many trials & tribulations BUT ultimately, the grand day beckons! What started as a group consisting of 5 members, it is now helmed by Yunho & Changmin when 3 members decided to leave the company that established their namesake.

Boasting perhaps the largest fan base to date, TVXQ recently proved once again their global popularity.

 

At a concert held in Beijing in March, over 10,000 fans were in attendance, tirelessly swinging their glow sticks and applauding at the top of their lungs throughout their idols' performance.

 

During the five dome tour in Japan which will take place through this August, they have already taken reservations for 850,000 spots over 18 concerts. They will also perform at the mega-sized Nissan Stadium which seats over 70,000.

 

The admission ticket costs $110 on average, and the total revenue from 850,000 tickets sold is estimated to be close to $100 million.

 

Last year, TVXQ had 570,000 fans in attendance in the duration of their world tour. Super Junior had 280,000, SHINee had 250,000, Girls' Generation and others had 300,000.

 

Many K-pop artists are more active in international concerts this year. With expanded markets, they are all looking to venture out to new places where there are plenty of demands.

 

YG Entertainment's Big Bang will have a huge piece of the global pie this year as well. In over 25 concerts in 8 countries, Big Bang will perform for over 500,000 fans. Despite a big increase in the number of concerts and tickets sold, the actual profit is expected to grow by only 20% due to weakening of the Japanese currency.

 

All in all, it is a win-win situation for artists and fans alike. Artists get to do what they love and receive a financial return for their service while fans get to see what they love.
