sillysone 6,340 Posted April 15, 2015 Share Posted April 15, 2015 For people who don't know, Sooyoung was a member of Route 0 along with a Japanese girl Marina Takahashi from 2002 to 2003. The duo was short-lived, they released only 3 singles in Japan. Sooyoung was only 12 back then, and had to travel by plane all by herself. She also struggled a lot, since she wasn't fluent in Japanese. (Little Sooyoung crying ) After the disbandment of Route 0, Sooyoung and Marina communicated through letters, but lost touch over the years. Only last year, with help from SONEs, Sooyoung and Marina were reunited at SNSD's Third Japan Tour. Here's what they wrote to eachother before they met. [TRANS Marina's Instagram message to Sooyoung] Sooyoung are you doing well? I'm fine. I was surprised to hear from you via my friend. I gave birth to a kid, I became a mom. I watch Sooyoung's activities with my child. I told her that she (SY) is mom's friend but she can't believe it! But I taught her our song Waku waku It's love and she remembered it. Is your family doing well? The time when we had activities together is so nostalgic. I wonder if Nangu san and Inoue san are doing well. They both went to Ebisu. Do you remember when we bought the sour candies at Sony Plaza? We ate spicy ramen in the middle of the night. Recordings were scary, so we entered the studio together and recorded. BoA came to my house and I was so excited. She also stayed with my family. My sister and brother became business people. My whole family is doing well. Being able to meet you again like this and seeing Sooyoung's activities makes me very happy! I look forward to the possibility of meeting you. Today you are in Japan for the concert. I accidentally started crying when I saw your comment because such precious memories all started flowing in Whilst I was on stage in Japan I had Marina-chan on my mind. Since the reason why I was able to first ‘START’ in Japan was with Marina-chan At that time I couldn’t speak Japanese so I was in charge of being the fool but right now, the members and I are working on it (Japanese) ^^ Probably because I’m able to see Marina-chan I’m laughing (right now) I wonder how I’ll be able to contact you? I'm pretty sure all longtime SONEs are quite familiar with the story, but I still felt like sharing it.
