I find it interesting how SM is running things

Three of their artists are promoting at the same time. Red Velvet, EXO, and Girls Generation. No other company really does this and I don't get why SM feels the need to move so fast and basically sabotage their artists. Like, the company is basically pitting their artists against each other in terms of music show wins and chart positions. I just don't get this tactic.

idk if anyone has mentioned this before.

edit: I see people can't even be genuinely curious on this website without being negged :imstupid:

I'd rather have it like this than YG's style of promoting his artists..

Anyway, their artist's comebacks usually only overlap a little at the very beginning and the very end of their promotions. When one group is having their goodbye stage or not winning anymore, another is getting ready for their comeback. So in the end it really doesn't harm anything.

Also, it seems like a lot of the time the target fanbase of the promoting groups isn't the same.

Yeah, you should take into account too. I think SM has the most groups and solo and subunits compare to other companies.

jyp is promoting himself, miss a, and jimin at the same time too

You're right. I didn't think about that....

I wonder why companies do this. I'm honestly just curious.

SNSD is not promoting in Korea right now but in japan (just for your info)

Thanks for that info, I didn't know. But they're still competing musically on charts and stuff with their lablemates.

Yea, CMIYC is a Japanese single, Korean version is just an extra for fans. They stated clearly about it & said that they won't have any promo activities for it in Korea.

Eh, isn't it just math?

Lots of groups, several comebacks in a year plus subunit comebacks and solo promotions = dozens of promotions and comebacks in a year

A year only has 52 weeks, so there's bound to be overlap. Certainly when a promotion lasts 3 weeks and longer.

Besides, RV had 2 weeks for themselves and SNSD isn't promoting in SK, it's foremostly a Japanese release.
