i guess it's not about the size of the stadium or the number of the audience

and it doesn't matter if we didn't get the fan chants right

and made our own fan chants (basically by singing whatever lines/words we remember) 

or we just screamed 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH' most of the time 

 

the most important thing is we were with them every step of the way, from the beginning until the end

The TVXQ! Live World Tour ‘Catch Me’ In Kuala Lumpur concert was a blast for the faithful.

 

It was a sight to behold last Saturday evening as 9,000 fans packed Stadium Malawati in Shah Alam, Selangor to support their favourite South Korean act TVXQ.

Colour of the night, you ask? A sea of pearl red (official fan colour)!

 

It has been six years since TVXQ last played here and the TVXQ! Live World Tour “Catch Me†In Kuala Lumpur, organised by JPM Music, was a hyped up event. True to their word, the boys rocked the stadium for three hours with their hottest hits.

 

Heart-thumping tunes like Rising Sun and ‘O’ Jung Ban Hap brought a wave of nostalgia and memories of the time when TVXQ was still a five-piece boyband and played its first two concerts here: Rising Sun 1st Asia Tour at Bukit Jalil Putra Indoor Stadium, Kuala Lumpur in 2006 and 2nd Asia Tour Concert ‘O’ at Stadium Merdeka, KL in 2007. The group’s first show even had Super Junior as guest performers. Imagine some 20 boys dancing on stage; that was quite an unforgettable sight!

 

Then in 2009, TVXQ lost three of its members (Kim Jaejoong, 27, Park Yoochun, 26, Kim Junsu, 26), who broke away to form the trio JYJ. After a brief hiatus, TVXQ made its comeback as a duo comprising Jung Yunho, 27, and Shim Changmin, 25.

 

But the stage at Stadium Malawati did not seem stark by comparison, because TVXQ wasted no time in winning its audience over with one hit after another.

The dashing pair made a stellar entrance on trapeze wires and never looked back, as Changmin took the opportunity to showcase his higher register, and Yunho proved himself quite the dance machine. The two could sing and dance up a sweat, then disappear off-stage for a costume change and reappear as fresh as ever with impeccably-coiffed hair.

 

The multi-purpose stage, which cost the organiser more than RM1.5mil to build, brought TVXQ closer to fans. The duo came from all directions and were the life of the party as they were suspended by wires and hooks, elevated by cranes and poles, and transported about in toy planes and Segways. Fans gleefully lapped it all up as the boys zipped around them and flew overhead in all sorts of contraptions.

 

Apart from a cool sequence where they got to show off some swordplay skills, there were also cute moments where the South Korean lads bounced about on stage while playfully swatting gigantic insects like bumblebees, ladybirds, grasshoppers and the like.

 

The show went rather smoothly, barring a few hiccups, like when Yunho cut his left hand on a wire, or when he had to jump some 1.2m onto the stage as his plane got stuck and wouldn’t land as smoothly as Changmin’s did.

 

But Yunho quickly endeared himself to local fans by declaring his affection with “Aku cinta padamu (“I love you†in Malay),†Changmin followed up with apologies, “We feel very sorry to have kept you waiting for six years.â€

 

And, the fans, in turn, replied by chanting the group’s Korean name “Dong Bang Shin Ki†(which means Rising Gods From The East in Korean) and holding up hand banners by MTFS (Malaysia TVXQ Fans Support) bearing the message “Urineun hangsang yeogie isseoyo†(“we’re always hereâ€).

 

Returning for an encore, TVXQ whipped fans into a frenzy with more favourites like Mirotic and Hiyaya Summer Days. Then the boys, who had already played in South Korea, Hong Kong and China, were quickly whisked off the same night for their next destination – Japan.

 

 

 

How exciting to see all of you here! And we all have new names! AHahahahaha !!
Of all the gorgeous changmin pictures on here right now, I am in love with Korea airport "Whisker-Shinki the most! That delicious stubble on that beautiful face~~~Ah...Shim Changmin you will kill me I am sure of it.
Off to watch the eps of Neighborhood that I fell behind~~ hopefully I can get thru that bowling without laughing myself into hiccups.

So, I was still a newbie posting at hallyu, but had spent LOTS and LOTS of time lurking there!. I was SO thankful that I had managed to read thru both the ChangMin thread, and the HoMin thread before the site crashed. (Boy, I sure hope I saved everything awesome that I wanted!)

I am a long-time HoMin shipper, but ChangMin is my Adorkable snarky NamDongsaeng. He makes me laugh at least once every day. Gotta love a guy who can do that! My old username was ajumah625 but I used it for many other things and since we were kinda starting over here......

I chose a new one.

About those emoticons... I understand how they work but do not have a smiley to click!!! I even opened "more reply options" and it says emoticons are enabled...so where is my smiley?

I feel so cheated.....:( <----look~ I have to use "old-school" moteys! So sad!

I am so happy the changmin thread still lives. He is just the cutest thing ever. A child and a man all at the same time.
The Mission Card head-bump is the most ridiculously funny thing I have ever seen. And to think Changmin is a genius.... He might have seen that bump coming, right?
I am not posting from a phone...I post from an IPad, and sometimes my desktop, but still I do not have a smiley to post emoticons.
Not sure why. I will try posting from my desktop and see if that makes any diff.
I Will update my findings about this seriously important topic of my not having emoticon usage!!

i did i did.. he's such a cute dork.. like seriously wth was that. and him trying to get all frustratedly adorbs cause he had to do something cute for fans to see. ahh i wish there were more

 

just heard from lav u went to the boys concert!! tell me tell me did u had fun? how's our hottie changmin.. is he better in real life.. i want to knoooow !!

i guess for people who say that he is more handsome in real life - maybe they compare him to his pics and sometimes changmin is just not photogenic ? :p

 

but he really really didn't talk a lot that night. other than the usual phrases here & there and the last remark where yunho made him talk.... nadaaa

i guess he was being shy because he didn't know the audience there

but he made up for it by doing more cute actions and then got embarrassed by his own actions

 

during confession, at the end of the song he made a swatting motion and laugh embarrassly. later i found out he was making the motion to a girl with momoko banner       

 

do u know that we planned to sing i swear during the encore as a fan project. that was very thotful and ambitious lol

coz the encore was a mess. one side was yelling for "dongbangshinki", another section was doing "we are T"' & some people were yelling "encore ! encore ! "

but then 1 section started singing "i swear". slowly at first but the other sections began to quiet down and other people began to join in singing "i swear"

but not all people know the song obviously. after the song is over then people went back to yelling whatever they were yelling before

 

surprisingly, both boys seemed happy & touched for the support but changmin's eyes got a bit teary

i like to think that it's because we sang i swear to them

 

and i guess i will always remember yunho's last word that nite - that we'll meet again next year. 

so i have to save money again lalalalala

yes definitely changmin is not photogenic at all. as his long time fan i admit that.. he's better looking with fan cam taken than magazine photoshoot tbh.. also he's better on screen than he does so on photos..

as for speaking, changmin never does it anyways. he rarely talks. he leaves it for his hyung yunho to do all the work . i think changmin talks most in japan. more so than korea.. don't you think?

i didn't realise it during the concert but later from fancams i found out he was coughing

 

and when he was on the raised platform and it was very high, i think he looked a bit nervous

 

i can't remember during which song but my most precious memory would be when he was waving in my direction 

& i was a pretty calm audience but i went a bit crazy during hey !

that's about it

 

 

sorry i can't give a detailed account, but what i can remember is the feelings i got from that night - happy, exhilarating, satisfied, content but still wanting more
