Hello everyone, and allow me to welcome you to OneHallyu's second Scene it K-Pop tournament. 

 

This tournament is designed to test your knowledge and memory of of K-Pop music videos. Together with your team, you are tasked to use the clues and descriptions given, in order to correctly name the song title and artist of the video being described. Speed and accuracy will prove to be your best ally during the tournament. The quicker you submit the correct answers, the more points your team will receive. Try your best to submit the correct answers in a timely fashion, because 2 teams will be eliminated each round. 

 

I have asked you all to create a team banner, not only to showcase your team pride/spirit, but to serve as a reminder of the teams that are still competing in the tournament. 

 

I will display the banners of all 8 teams in the OP, at the end of each round and bonus phase, the teams to be eliminated will see their banner symbolically fall. 

 

How the game works:

 

 

 

1. At the start of each round I will post the descriptions of the videos. Once you see the descriptions, you are free to begin.

 

2.  Once you are satisfied with your answers, the team leader is to submit the answers to me via the pm. (Please only submit your answers once you have guessed all of the music videos) Number your answers, and place them in order.

 

3. If any of the answers are wrong, I will bold the correct ones in my reply to you.

 

4. Once the 1st team has correctly submitted all 5 or 6 answers, then a 5 minute countdown will begin. (I will let you all know that the countdown has started) 

 

5. If another team correctly submits all of the answers before time runs out, the timer will be reset, and the 5 minutes will begin again. (This will continue until every team has answered correctly or the 5 minutes run out)

 

Note: If time runs out and not enough teams have finished, I will count the number of correct answers for the remaining teams, and put them in order that way.

 

6. At the end of the round, I will post a bonus question pertaining to the music videos that were described. (What do all of these music videos have in common?) The bonus question will be worth an extra 3 points, and will be awarded to the first team that pm's me the correct answer. (This too should be answered by the team leader only)

 

7. After I calculate your scores, I will post the banners of the teams with the lowest points, to symbolize the falling of their banner and elimination. (2 teams will be eliminated each round, until there are only 4 teams left.)

 

8. I will post the scores of the remaining teams within the thread.

 

9. Under no circumstances should any of you post any of your answers within the thread. Any team that does, will be automatically disqualified.

Individual event:

 

 

For those of you that are participating in the individual event, your game will be similar but a bit different. Throughout the tournament, there will be trivia questions asked while the teams are working to figure out answers. Anyone not already competing in the tournament (including eliminated teams) may participate in this event. 

 

The trivia questions will be both K-Pop, and non K-Pop related. 

 

You are allowed to post your answers within this thread. (Once a winner has been found we will move on to the next question)

 

Do not edit your answers, just post again if you are wrong.

 

In order to keep the confusion to a minimum, the questions will be spread out in 5 minute intervals. 

 

When I am ready to end a round for the team event, I will announce that the trivia game will be paused until the next round begins. (All chatting is to stop once the trivia game is paused each round)

 

After I have posted the scores, eliminated teams, and posted clues for the next round, the trivia game will continue. 

 

 

 

 

Prizes: 

 

 

 

Team event:

 1st place for the tournament will receive 750k won, to be split 3 ways for a total of 250k won for each member of the team. On top of that, the winning team will receive a unique stamp, that will be displayed for 2 weeks. 

 

2nd place will split 150k won, so each member will receive 50k won each. 

 

3rd place will split 75k won, and each member will receive 25k won each.

 

4th place will split 30k won, and each member will receive 10k won each. 

 

Individual Event:

There will be 30 trivia questions in total.

Each correct answer is worth 5k won. 

You may answer as many questions as you like, so you can win more than once.
