Not receiving internship offers...Shoud I panic?

The thing is we are required to work as an intern for a company in June so as early as February, I was busy sending out resumes and taking company exams.

But it's already April and no one has invited me for an interview and the "best" response I got from one company was asking me about our school's internship guidelines.

June is approaching fast and my schoolmates have already received requests for interview...

...Should I panic ?

Not really. Just be sure to go to your professors or teachers and tell them you're having trouble getting a response from the companies you're sending resumes to. They can usually help you spot where you've been going wrong and in a worst case scenario you have evidence that you were looking for an internship and did everything you could to find one.

You still have two months left. That's enough time to get an internship. Definitely go ask a career counselor to look over your resume and cover letters. Or does your school have a coordinator managing the students who are seeking internships? You could also have them look over your resume and cover letter.

If you're really desperate, you can look into organizations that help students secure internships. e.g. http://www.theinterngroup.com/london/although you would have to ask your school about whether or not they qualify for academic credit, but they're not ideal if you don't have any money to live away from home and money to pay for the organization's services.

Will your program kick students out if they don't get an internship?

you still have time right!! and its not the time to panic.check your resume once again and consult your professors about it.see if there is some lacuna in it.like if there is something you've to add more e.g more extra curricular activities or smth.also reference of profs can work too.

Thank you. I'm a little shy but I'll definitely consult my professors :)

Thanks so much. I honestly have no idea on whether 2 months is enough to find a job since this is my first time, but your response cleared my doubts :)

Well we won't be kicked out, but this requirement is a course in itself so if we don't intern, we'll have to try out again next year -- delaying our graduation T_T

Thank you, I am panicking A LOT after seeing most of my schoolmates prepare for their interviews. Guess I should really fix my resume soon...

2 months is how long it took me to get a placement. I'll admit I started to get nervous because people were getting interviews within the first month and to prestigious companies too.

Oh that's good that you won't be kicked out. Less pressure then.

I'm new to the job-hunting process too, but if you need advice, feel free to PM me.

Thank you so much for all your help. I will definitely PM you :)
