Thotcahontas 5,149 Posted April 8, 2015 Share Posted April 8, 2015 So after reading suga'sgf reply to me (she didn't call me racist so stop) I decided to re-evaluate myself and ask my family if I'm racist to my own ethnicity my two sisters said yes I ignored the older one cause she's dating this jet blick guy who's trying to fuck her and still get at me under the scenes so I don't like him so yeah I make fun of HIM plus he's super ugly so... I ignored her but my other sister said im racist and I'm confused cause ive dated guys darker than me..ive dated hispanics..ive dated guyanese...I've dated Caucasians.. so I'm really confused how am I racist.. If you're a person of a different race not dating someone because of their skintone that's racism if you're a light skin person of the same race not dating a dark skin person because of their skin tone that's colorism. Just think of this, you haven't met every dark skin man in the world. You don't know each and every one of them share the same features and personalities. But if you say "I don't like dark skin men." You can be racist against your own race if we're talking about the socially created concept of race. Racism is simply discriminating/having prejudices of inferiority based on their race (regardless your own race) if we're going by the common simple definition. It's called internalized racism.
