It honestly feels like he is a scapegoat. As accountable as he may be, he wasn't the first person that people turned to when the tragedy happened. He was only brought up in the aftermath. My thoughts still go out to the families that continue to cope with this.

He was scapegoated so hard... He probably shares some of the blame, but most of it is on the company. He was just doing what he could with what he was given. Of course nothing will happen to the actually company....

from what I've seen...their roads are fine. [ from movies, dramas, variety]

It's just that many people speed or DUI and there is a bit of traffic cluster because of Seoul high population.

when it comes to celebrities, it's all of a result of speeding to reach schedules.

 

they do need to improve on their actions during winter. tho. It is insane to think they just put those ice grips but don't make sure the ice on the streets go away.

 

 

this accident was a mix of new car, speeding and inexperience that resulted in such a tragedy.

EunB, Rise... may they rest in peace. It's such a pity that they died so young.

The manager may not be innocent, but he took 100% the blame for something where he was CLEARLY not the only one at fault...

 

Hopefully this will be the end of it tho so the families can start to move on and the girls can finally rest in peace

This tbh. If it's confirmed that they weren't wearing seatbelts then I'm going to have a hard time believing that this was something that couldn't have been prevented. They would have still gotten into an accident, but perhaps EunB and Rise would still be here.

 

As much as I hate to admit it, the same thing happened to Princess Diana. People believe that wearing a seatbelt could have saved her life, and I can see why.

 

But still, people will play the blame-game while the reason they got hurt is right in front of them. Even though there were multiple causes and factors, they had control over whether or not they had their seatbelt on.

I'm glad they came to a settlement... even if he was negligent by speeding he didn't intend for this to happen and I'm sure he's also been hurting over their passing.

The People who are trying to blame the manager when the should be making sure his mentality is OK. This blame game and the fact he was driving might make him feel even more guilty and depress might/could/have mess up his well being.
