“Hurry Up, Brother,†the Chinese version of “Running Man,†has drawn a “miraculous†number of viewers, according to various Chinese media outlets.

The Chinese sources have reported that episode 14 of the variety show, which aired on January 9 in China, drew a 4.2 percent viewership, making it the most-watched show that day. Top Chinese actress Bai Baihe also appeared on the show along with her husband, drawing a lot of public attention.

It is extremely rare for a show to exceed the 1 percent viewership mark in China, leading the Chinese press to call “Hurry Up, Brother’s†4 percent a “miracle.†The show’s popularity continues to grow in China, and all of its seven cast members have achieved more recognition as a result. The show also manages to attract some of China’s biggest stars as guests, and a recent episode even featured a guest appearance by BIGBANG’s G-Dragon.

While only one episode remains in the first season of “Hurry Up, Brother,†January 30 will see the release of the theatrical version of the show in China. Whether the show’s popularity will translate into the box-office will be watched with much interest.

It's reported that the advertising fees that air during this program is through the roof aswell. Many people have had bad injuries so of course she would want insurance.

damn

honestly if it was me I would never pay that much

I get she's a top star and all.. but 16 mill? 1000 security officers?

lmao you would think she's going to a desert island filled with wild animals and murders I mean it's just a show

Running Man movie version alone took $70M from China box office just less than 1 month of release.

Hurry Up, Brother is the most popular show in China & Fan Bingbing as a guest star, surely it will break viewers record & create the new one.

Her face is her money maker, imagine if her face was injured seriously how can see continue her career well?

Fan Bingbing has top http://Forbes China Celebrity 100 in 2013 & 2014. She is the top money making celebrity. i'm not surprised if she will top it again in 2015.

She has contracts for new projects and endorsements, if sth happens to her face, she needs to assure she'll be able to pay the fee for the companies she's endorsing. Companies would NOT say "it's ok if your face was damage during the record of a program and you're not be able to make the photos for the new collection or to continue the recording of the drama/movie".  The idols have in their contracts that they'd pay fees if they don't attend any schedule, the same for endorsements and projects.

Thank you. The realest comment here.

$16 mill USD is not that much considering she makes more than this annually...

godforbids if she smashes her face against a rock :ahmagah: , she will lose her main selling point...and the hundreds of millions in future earning potential...
