you'd think "rachel" would be easy to recognize and pronounced

its a basic ass name

but so many fking ppl have pronounced it as "rachelle" it aint even funny

ppl will call me rachelle just to fk with me

i aint got nothing against that name

but it aint my name and my name is spelled nothing like it

it's more about the spelling..  :soul:

it's always "brook" instead of "brooke". whenever someone has to take my name down i have to say "brooke with an e". thanks mom and dad.

my last name is super simple but its kinda long and ppl get intimidated by it and i always have to spell it out

and then theyre like "oh! its spelled how it sounds! :D" and im like yea

so i know that feel

sometimes i get asked if its "rachael or rachel?" but not often

my last name is the same way. it is pretty simple but sometimes i still have to spell it out because people think it is going to be complicated. whatever.

My first name is simple and easy enough for people to pronounce, although I've gotten people who spelled my name with one L instead of two, perhaps it's because they've met others with my name who had only one L in their name's spelling? On the other hand, my last name is frequently mispronounced, and it's the number one common Vietnamese surname. Even if you don't know how to pronounce it 100% (because of the various accents in it), there's a commonly accepted Anglicized pronunciation of it.
