not all of course, there are many who do....but ive noticed many kpop fans strictly just stay within kpop...why do you think theyre not curious to check out other asian music scenes

and another example is people will only follow their bias group's korean promotions...when they promote in japan...majority of fans dont really care tbh and wont follow as closely as they do korean.

if you havent, whats your reason?

because Kpop fans think Jpop is similar to Kpop, and when they see that the idol industry is NOTHING like SK's, they get turned off from it. Nevermind that the japanese music industry is comprised of mostly soloists and bands, with groups here and there. Idols are abundant too, but they're like one aspect of the industry.

usually they were fans of jpop before and then moved onto kpop afterwards or just kinda new to kpop and havent branched out to other asian music or even outside of their own bias group.

I listen to all of them but

and this would be considered trash by some kpop fans or a majority of them

bc it might not that be pleasing to eyes and ears. But for me this is quite good.

but still

Actually I'm finding that a lot of KPop fans now just jumped straight into KPop like this decade so they missed the whole JPop thing last decade.

I KNEW YOU WOULD BE IN HERE XD

LOL!

i'm just too lazy to find songs to listen to..

although, i'm slightly getting into cpop.. sort of. i like some of jolin tsai's music. :)

LOL, KPop in Mandarin.

Yeah, there's an aversion to anything that isn't top 40 pop so rock is a no go. Plus they're over 25 so that's another no go.

The funny thing is that if you're looking for youth in today's Japanese music scene, you're either doing to have to go down the rock/indie/folk lane or the idol lane. Japanese youth today isn't really trying do top 40 pop. That was more of a thing last decade.

probably the newer generation. kpop is a lot more accessible so of course it's a lot easier to get into it through youtube and other social media. really sucks because the fans who only stick to kpop are missing out on quite a bit
