Most TV companies buy the rights to dramas and variety show formats, but there are always exceptions.

SBS licensed the rights (as well as two producers) to Running Man to Zhejiang TV in China (and SBS is actually making A LOT of money from it).

MBC licensed the rights to 'Dad! Where Are We Going' to Hunan TV in China (and that's also very popular)

MBC licensed the rights to 'Infinity Challenge' to CCTV in China.

Hunan TV in China bought the rights to remake 'The Empress' Man' (featuring Nana).

KBS licensed out the rights to '2 Days 1 Night' to Sichuan TV in China.

There aren't many musicals being sold but 'Gone With the Wind' was most likely purchased for the Korean production.

The rights to produce SNL Korea were licensed by NBC to tvN in Korea.

The drama 'Meteor Garden' in Taiwan was licensed from the Japanese publisher. The Korean adaptation 'Boys Over Flowers' was also an adaptation of that.
