I can't @ people saying this isn't Epik High's song when they were told ahead of time that this is gonna have 5 other people featured in a 3-4 minute song. Like really did they think the featurings would have 30 seconds each to rap and move on?  :imstupid:

but more than half the features are yg pretty boys. i like the zino and vj features and if they got ANY of the movement crew or basically any non-idol rappers i dont think some ppl would be complaining. the chorus was grating to listen to but the beat and everyone else's verses were great. bi and mino felt like they were shoe-horned into this song. none of you have ANY problems with a HUGE chunk of the song given to promote these idols? at this point yg's shoving them down our throats. only bobby delivered.

 

otherwise im satisfied with the song. tukutz did em solid. mv's concept and everything was great as well.

I don't have a problem really. As long as they're releasing more music I could put up with anything.  :._.:

I was actually very impressed with Mino- he and Bobby definitely earned their place imo. B.I wasn't bad but idk, I was hoping he'd leave a stronger impression. I'm waiting for translations before I cast a final judgment tho.

 

I think the features are more reflective of EH's current desire to mentor the next generation's talent. Pre-hiatus, Tablo was pretty vocal about some of the shortcomings of the idol music industry, so it's pretty interesting seeing how EH's position in YG has been slowly influencing things and bridging the underground/mainstream. 

 

 (if winner's seunghoon were tossed in there, then I'd accuse YG of interfering haaah... sorry winner fans.)

And ack, I just realized that if you're looking for a more old hip hop feel, "Top Gun" would've been a better recommendation bc it isn't as dominated by featuring artists.

Epik High's album puts me into a trance tbh. Armor Fati is so reminiscent of Scapegoat from Remapping the Human Soul. 

Every single song in this album has an amazing instrumental, like I didn't think it was possible for 2NE1's Crush to be replaced on my favorite albums list of 2014 but it happened. 

 

I really needed this kind of comeback from Epik High I'm dying right now

woooow. this album is so tight! burj khalifa is dope af. encore has to be one of the best openers to an album ive ever heard. lesson 5 is sick. i basically like the whole album except enl, rich and one of the title tracks didnt stand out very much(and the chorus on born hater is unbearable but the verses and tukutz saves it). DJ TUKUTZ COMING THROUGH FOR THEM ON THIS ALBUM FUUUUUCK. the production on this album is top notch so fuckin dope. still need more listens but dam im pretty mind blown right now.

 

gonna be bumpin burj khalifa like i was 420 for a long ass time. hopefully theyll get some recognition at some year end/award shows they really deserve it.

Just got word that my album has been shipped today XD YASSS I'M EXCITED AS FUCK FOR THE LYRIC BOOK! Finally I dont have to cross reference two translation to get the puns in their lyrics  :ahmagah:
