This spring, Solange confirmed that her next LP would be released via her newly established Saint Records. The imprint is distributed by Sony and marks her transition back to the major label sphere after releasing last year's True EP via Terrible Records.

Now, Solange has shared more details about the record with Billboard, including a list of collaborators-- Dave Longstreth of Dirty Projectors, Patrick Wimberly of Chairlift, and Sampha (SBTRKT, Jessie Ware) were all mentioned. Solange has covered Dirty Projectors' "Stillness Is the Move" for years now (including at this year's Pitchfork Music Festival), and Wimberly has performed with her live band.

Solange tells Billboard she plans to sign other new artists to Saint Records, including other projects that she will be involved with. She's begun working on the full-length, which will be recorded in New York and New Orleans, and says it will be out next year. "The infrastructure of this record in terms of the creative process is absolutely the same as the last one," Solange said. "I’m making the music that I want to make."

Dirty Projectors AND Charlift? This is gonna be interesting to see where they will take the direction of her sound. Nice to see that she seems to be a fan of Bitte Orca if she covers Stillness is the Move a lot. I can see her doing something like that in her own material tbh.
