Do you have any teachers that are bad at teaching?

One of mine is extremely bad and disorganized.

She always plans to do stuff, like daily binder checks, weekly progress sheets

and within a week of starting them she discards the idea and forgets all about it.

She also does nothing but show us videos and make us do worksheets. When I'm absent and ask for work i've missed it takes her half the period

just to get 1 piece of paper because she has some serious ADD.

If you cant teach yourself to be organized why try and teach your students to be..

:wut:

My dear eccentric geology professor...her trademark is 1. taking up half the class period to talk about logistics; 2. giving you back your papers so marked up with criticism you think you've failed, but in fact she just likes criticizing people's writing;  3. making passive aggressive comments under her breath whenever you or someone else does something that displeases her; 4. rewriting your papers for you and then patting herself on the back for her brilliance; and 5. jumping around and getting extremely excited about whatever she's talking about during class. She also drinks too much (and is really ridiculous when drunk), I think, and likes to talk about how she never got anything less than a B on any test in college. But she's also brilliant and manages to teach, push out dozens of research papers, raise two children, and speak about a dozen languages.

Oh, yesterday she also broke one of my thin sections (rock bits glued to a glass microscope slide) that took myself and my partner 8 weeks of out of lab work to make and said, "Oh, that's not a big deal, it's still usable" after she herself had spent 15 minutes lecturing us about how we should be really careful with her thin sections so as not to break them. Grrr.

My English teacher.

Not only is she incapable of speaking English (some of the shit she says just doesn't make sense), she's quite inadequate as a teacher.

For example, we have an assignment due next week, and she's still unable to properly explain to us what the fuck it is we actually have to do.

Yes, my chemistry teacher... really, we even need to have extra evening classes with a teacher from another school before the test, because no one had any idea at all what we were doing.

We'd probably learn more from:

My physics/math teacher just reading the book to us

Google

My ap history teacher for my junior year. Not surprisingly, he stopped teaching to be a registrar.

No one passed that ap test. Not one student. Cause he wouldn't teach us. Just worksheets and nothing else. Actually, he would pick on one of the nicest kids in the class cause he was too nice to talk back.

Tbh most of the teachers I had were average, not bad, but not all that good either. But my biology teacher in junior high was probably the worst. While he was supposedly teaching all the students laughed, talked on the phone, got out of class any time they wanted too, record videos with their phones etc and he just didn't give a damn. I can't complain though, I always had a good time during his class lmao
