Elie Saab's couture dresses are depictions of every female's dream. He's very fortunate to have made it to Western lenses because it makes him distinct. Had he remained amongst that Arab designers he would have blended in as there are too many Arab designers with the similar capability of creating fairytale dresses. The only disadvantage about him is that he can't branch out and maintain his signature, so you can say that he is repetitive, but since some pieces are timeless.

 

If there is one name that deserves the same level of international recognition it's Rami Kadi. Do check him out.

Every time that I converse with you Aya, I could never tell the language boundaries. Your English is good.

 

The scenario doesn't have to be very detailed, but it can't be too short.

 

Mine goes something like this:

 

 

I walking to the ball. Never before has the walk from the entrance door of the building seem so long. Nerves have been building up until butterflies found their way to my stomach. I stand behind the big doors of the hall to brace myself for a while. Taking a deep breath, I swing the doors open. The hall is unrecognizable. The decorations are wonderful. The atmosphere is lively. No matter where you turned you would find people talking, laughing and dancing. Overwhelmed, I stand on the spot hoping that no one would notice me. I'm known for having silent feet, and the hall's doors no longer creak, so I keep telling myself that I'll be able to pull myself together for a few minutes. However, my coconut smell always gives me away. Approached and greeted here and there, but where is my date? I get into conversations with friends and peers, yet can't be fully engaged because of the worry. Everyone had their date nearby. The worst ones to be in the company of were the ones who acted like couples. I keep checking on the big antique clock that's hung high on the wall where the band was playing, and people dancing on the dance floor in front. Everyone in their pairs. A scene that I longed to be a part of. Where is he? I start to doubt if he really would show up. Was the worst prom scenario going to happen to me? It has been an hour. Surrounded by happy face, I'm feeling ridiculous. I've had a secret crush on him for a year. I was ecstatic when he asked me. I should have known that it was all too good to be true. Standing alone, I start losing hope. Taking a final glance across the hall before exiting, no sight of him. As I turn to make my exit, I finally spot him. Delighted by the sight of him just being there, I approach him without any hesitation, but my goodness, he looked so handsome in a tailored suit. He stood there alone. He was so nervous. Fiddling with his fingers, and biting his lips. He was adorable, yet masculine. That combination that I simply cannot resist. I noticed the gift in his hand, and it made me smile harder. My heart just wanted to jump out of my chest with every step taken closer to him. He finally sees me, and smiles back. I melt a little inside. The eye-to-eye contact was the most intense that I've had from him. We greet each other, and all my nerves seemed to have washed away. He acts shyly every now and again. We talked and joked for a few minutes. It just felt like waiting was all worth it. Enjoying the moment so much, I get surprised when the band plays my favourite song. Out of absolute excitement, I say "shall we?". My inability to contain my enthusiasm blocked off any shame there was for me taking the role that is often left for the males. He laughs and replies with "I'd rather wait for my date".....

I've been caught up with work, and the new Boss is a bitch. Clash of personalities because we're too alike in certain qualities, but her lack of professionalism was the root of all problems. She was abusing her position of power, and it resulted in me being unfairly dismissed; which turned out for the better as hours later I received a job interview for a job that is much better, along with an informal acceptance. Should be starting the new job soon.

I have few free days left before heading back to hectic life.

The moment the car stops in front of the hotel entrance made my heart beat faster than it already is. This is it. Yixing and I both agreed to meet at the venue. I was so excited that I arrived early so him and my friends aren't there yet. I was so nervous I couldn’t keep still so I went to the ladies room to check myself for the nth time.

 

Looking at the mirror, I smiled at how my little purple dress looks so pretty. I’m not really into wearing dresses but this one actually suits me. I knew I picked the right dress and it being purple which is both mine and Yixing’s favorite color, I’m hoping he will like it. The dress is fine but I’m worried about the shoes I wasn’t exactly wearing a shiny high heels every girl in the prom has on. My clumsy self is no good walking in those so instead of making a fool of myself in front of my long time crush and date tonight, I decided to wear my wedge converse instead since it gives me the balance pointed heels can’t cause I’m actually considering dancing tonight with my date. After checking my dress and shoes, I ran my hand through my hair just to make sure it’s in place. I didn’t go to a salon today, letting my long black hair down since Yixing has mentioned before how he liked my hair simple like this. Oh my, this is not good, I was getting more self conscious as time passes and that I didn’t notice my phone ringing. It’s Yixing. 

 

Hey it’s me, I uhm… just letting you know I’m already here waiting for you outside the ballroom.

 

I can hear his nervous voice through the phone and I can just imagine how nervous he is in person. Glad that I’m not the only one feeling the same tonight.

 

I’m already here too, wait I’m on my way to you.

 

You’re already here? He asked as I walked out of the ladies room and into the ballroom hallway.

 

Yes.

 

Tell me where you’re at and I’ll come to you. He said. Those simple words making my heart beat like crazy. What he didn’t know is that I can already see his back figure while walking in the hallway towards him. Both of us still have our phone in our ears.

 

Turn around. I finally said before he turns around and meets my eyes, both of us dropping our phones from our ears at the same time.

As cheesy as it sounds, the moment I saw him smile at me like I’m the only girl in the place makes my heart beat even crazier than before. And that lovely dimple, ohgosh it was too hard to bear that I actually had to put my hand on my chest to calm my heart and also to prevent it from actually jumping out of my rib cage. This moment is so surreal. I've liked him for so long, I was just admiring him from a far. I didn't even believe Luhan (my bestfriend's date) when he said Yixing liked me too and is gonna ask me to be his date to the prom. And now he is here in front of me looking like the handsome angel he is that makes my heart melt by just his glorious presence.

He starts walking towards me and I can’t do anything but to wait for him to get to me. He gets closer, running his eyes on me from head to toe.

 

You look…

 

…Ohmy! is it the shoes? do you hate it? I cut him off as my conscious self get into me. Way to ruin the perfect moment I mentally kick myself. But he looks back up at me and chuckled. The shoes are perfect… just like your dress, your hair and you, everything about you~ He said as he closes the space between us and gave me a hug. I can feel his heart beating as loud as mine, and then he grabs my hand and we walked together hand in hand towards the ballroom.

I had the best night ever with my date and my friends. It was a miracle that my clumsy self didn't trip or hurt Yixing while dancing. I didn’t want it to end, especially that slow dance with him, it was perfect for me. But just when I thought it couldn’t be any more perfect, when everyone was leaving, Yixing leads me in the parking lot and showed me the ride he will take me home with. I was in awe with what I saw...

 

Your bestfriend told me you’ve always wanted to ride a scooter with someone you like. He said in a shy voice that made him more adorable than ever. He grabs the helmets, putting mine first and making sure its locked properly and then his. We both smiled at each other. It wasn’t awkward. I like how he makes me feel comfortable and homey when I’m with him.

 

Are you ready? He asked as he helps me get on the scooter. I nod as I was trying to figure out where to hold on for me not to fall.

And then he said the one line that made me fall even deeper in love with him.

 

Hold onto me Aya… and don’t let go.

All the complaining about not being fluent in English, and then goes ahead to post a scenario that is actually fanfic-worthy. I almost fell off of my seat when clicking the spoilers. I did not expect all of that. Then I started reading it and thought to myself "how can someone come up with all of this in such a short time?". I should hide myself in shame. I was never cut out for these things. I end my scenario with him forgetting that I am his date, and she ends it with "Hold onto me Aya... and don't let me go". For goodness sake, I was wanting a career in war journalism... what was I thinking in here?

 

I have to hand it to you. That was really impressive. Had the right element to make it a pleasant story.

I think its my very strict English teacher in high school that made me very conscious of my English, the amount of red marks I get on my paper for a simple misplacement of an apostrophe is too damn high, lol

I have absolutely no one to vent my k-pop frustrations and fangirl habit on to, so I'm on a different type of crazy, but can still appreciate a "support group".

 

If it makes you feel any better, I will confess to falling hard for XiuMin. I used to admire him within respectable parameters. Now I just take it down the dirty alley. Doesn't mean that I have ditched YiXing. It just means that there are 12 fine men, and choosing only one is too much. In general, when it comes to male groups, I always like two members. It's the habit of a lady always caught in a love-triangle.

I think its my very strict English teacher in high school that made me very conscious of my English, the amount of red marks I get on my paper for a simple misplacement of an apostrophe is too damn high, lol

omg! get a comfortable chair next time so you won't fall! hahah I wrote it before dinner I think the motivation to eat after helped, lol I only used simple English words and I re-read it like 5 times before posting so I won't disappoint you I didn't even notice it was getting long, this is what happens when I get carried away hahah ... oh wait I thought Yixing was only kidding in that last part of yours

 

oh Psy why are you so nice to me? Xing was my inspiration, the scenario I wrote don't deserve it but still thank you you're the nicest XingMi I have ever met /I should stop now I'm getting mushy.

I always hated the red pen on my homework so I understand where you are coming from. Your English is actually very good so you have the ability to make people like me seem dumb. I only know English, and almost negligible on my Arabic. What other languages do you speak?

 

 

 

It's gonna be 4 months soon, it might be a short time but this is my first time being away from them, I'll be going home during sem break which is in Oct >.<

The first time is always the toughest. October will come by faster than expected.

Heheh. I'm glad you like it though! I usually really love black and white themes but this picture was too cute when I saw it that I just had to change everything even for a moment. I have no idea when I'll start missing Chanyeol being on there, but for now I'm too in love with seeing this cutie pop up every time I post. <3

I understand what you mean. Although it's a little strange for me because I've never been in the situation where I've had two biases that I've liked this much. I, of course, usually like multiple members in a group but I have the person that I feel is a clear favorite and even when it comes to an overall, ultimate bias, there's only ever been one (and I stick pretty hard to that, too; Onew lasted 4 years). But while I consider Chanyeol my ultimate one now, Yixing is the true bias list wrecker in disguise because he's managed to push himself up in there without me even realizing it. I even think at times he's done it to the point where I feel like he might be on the same level as Chanyeol, but it's not a normal thing for me so I'm not sure what to think of it! I tend to overanalyze things a bit when I should perhaps just let myself enjoy it. 

 

It's nice Minseok is getting more love from people lately (or so it seems that he is). ^^

The ending was really hard, starting it and getting carried away was easy but endings are hard lol 

 

 Yeah maybe that's why I'm cautious sometimes I'm afraid others will misunderstand me what? you don't look dumb at all, I guess non-native English speakers like me are just defensive cause some people on the internet can be harsh sometimes.... You speak Arabic? ... oh me? I speak Japanese, English, Tagalog and Bisaya/Cebuano, I'm planning on taking Chinese Mandarin on my sophomore year, since its very useful here in Asia and also maybe learn Arabic later on cause its also useful here in Asia.

Me too, I have quite few fave Yixing fansites, ChereMamie's pics are breathtakingly beautiful, Lovelyixing is really fast and I love ForTheFairest's logo, lol I have lots of fave Xing fansites

 

Tbh your dp and siggy before kinda made me cautious on talking to you, lol don't get me wrong, Chanyeol is fine, just the whole setting hahah sorry I can't seem to express myself in English, just now you seem so approachable, lol /okay don't mind me

 

Btw, Chanyeol is adorable in person too, and his smile is not scary at all, lol
