Probably because he hurts himself so easily :( I notice he wears it sometimes, either its for fashion accessory purpose or you might also be right with the reason, cause he has worn a waist band before for his injury too... Since then, EXO, has been added to the SM Entertainment's hierarchy of idol boy groups such as TVXQ, Super Junior, and SHINee. Even though they're rookies, the response the public has given them is similar to an earthquake. However in just one year, EXO has shown noticeable growth. Last June, their first album XOXO (XOXO, Kiss and Hug) dominated music charts with approximately 40 million sold copies and their title track 'The Wolf and the Lady' (Wolf) swept the music programs as #1. EXO released their first repackage album 'Growl' which is no exception to #1 on the music charts with its strong sound source. "To be honest, I didn't think the reaction would be good so I wasn't happy and I was very puzzled. But I'm very thankful that not only Korean fans enjoy this but also the general public enjoy this song. Because this promotion cycle is very different now that all 12 members are promoting, I feel that the synergy level has not been as active. Nevertheless, when EXO are all together, the shining feeling is significantly felt." 'Growl' has an R&B sound and is a dance song. In order for a man's girl to not be taken away from him, he growls at other men and it is shown in the lyrics. "If 'The Wolf and the Lady's witty lyrics and musical performance were able to demonstrate the unique charm of EXO, 'Growl' is sure to show the manly, impressive side of EXO. It has a sexy feel to it. Even though all the songs are like this, the fact that all the members were able to show their parts was memorable. It's an enjoyable song to perform on stage, and even by looking at our facial expressions, you'll be able to feel the excitement as well." 'Growl' is a unique music video that was shot in one take. The camera angles seem to hide the members that are not in the group in the shot underneath and every shot seems to complete the performance as one. "The key point in our music video is when one member grabs the camera and makes it seem as if he's holding it personally. The camera appears to be dancing along with us. As one member takes off his hat and another member steals his hat, the music video is a humorous one. To be honest, one member dropped his hat in the middle of shooting but the scene still came out cooly. More versions of the music video will be released." When asked if debuting only after a year and being rivaled by many other rookie groups and having a tight schedule thus being sleep deprived was tiresome, all of them replied, "Not at all." "We still have a long road to go, we can't get tired now. When we were trainees we would often see our seniors' tired appearances and thought to ourselves, "Let's not turn into that." Although now that we're debuted, it does get tiring by the day but we are happy and we have fun. No matter how physically exhausted we are, when we go on the stage, it seems as if our fatigue was a lie. Not wanting to be second to anyone is the only thought we have when we're on the stage." Even though on the stage, EXO are overflowing with charisma, when I met with them for the interview, they were all so playful that I can never get the memory out of my head. "With stylists and mangers all put together, we're about 30 moving bodies. Since there's a lot of people, missing or forgetting a member is possible. There are times where backstage rooms are too small for all of us so some members sit in the hallway. But since we were all close friends ever since trainee times, these memories all that much more memorable. Our teamwork is good." Since EXO are still a rookie team and have a long way to go, they're a team with a chance of getting to a higher rank. The members also believe that there is a possibility of their own goals and solo careers. "Since we're working hard with promotions, if we could win an award, that would be nice. Our goal for next year is to hold a solo concert and then maybe a world tour. As for now, we want to be representatives of Korea and icons of China. Without one missing performance, we're going to be the best team. We're going to achieve our goals one by one so please look over us." During the interview with Asia Today at SM Entertainment located in Apkujeong, Gangnam, EXO were asked about thoughts on sasaeng fans. Sasaeng fans at a glance: They're fans that tag along idols without any regard for personal space. Problems of severe stalking have arose lately. In particular, fans of EXO that are outside of the common-sense range are notorious. Even on the Internet, sasaeng fans exist. Their sasaeng fans are still fans though. "Their behaviour stems from the care and affection for us and we're thankful that they're here but they can be a little distracting," they carefully confessed. "Meeting up with us and keeping an eye on us is nice, but please be careful and courteous about keeping personal space and regulations." They said. There were many times fans got abroad the same plane flights as them to take pictures and EXO had to split into two groups to maintain privacy. "It's our faults if other people get hurt because of the fans so please be careful." "There are fans who sleep outside our dorms and we're very sorry to neighboring residents. It's also very dangerous and we hope that they would refrain from such behaviour." They confessed. "The general public is at risk many times so if the fans could come meet us and wait in line, we would be thankful." "There was also a time a fan shaved their hair to pass as a boy and came into the same bathroom as us and took pictures. When staff entered the bathroom they saw the fan taking pictures. But there are rumors that it was indeed a boy and not just a female fan pretending to be a male." This past April marked the first year since EXO's debut but no official fanclub name has been chosen yet. On the other hand, maybe their official fanclub name will happen within this year. "Hopefully when an official fanclub name is chosen, things will become a little more systematic." They said.
