she becomes a detective, not a suspect in second murder case.

 

in s2, the detective system is implemented. so the detective is out of suspects and we should choose who is the criminal among 5 suspects not 6.

Hong dated Jang's younger sister Soyu. However, he fell in love with Shim (because of her sly tricks) and dumped Soyu, leaving her heartbroken. Soyu, not being able to deal with the break up, decided to commit suicide using a knife to kill herself. During the attempt, her brother Jang discovered her and tried to wrestle the knife from her hands. In the process, he injured his right hand and could no longer pursue his career. He became an art dealer instead, and gained lots of fame. Unfortunately, one day, someone called him and told him that his sister, Soyu, committed suicide. He read the note she left for him, and in rage, decided to seek revenge. He tracked down Artist Hong and entered the gallery where Hong worked at, under the pretense of helping him. While he was working there, he discovered Shim's photos of her affair with Guard Kim. Using this to lure Shim, on the night before the wedding, Jang got Shim alone and killed her right in the stomach in the same method his sister Soyu used to kill herself. Jang then put the knife in one of Hong's aprons and put the picture in one of Hong's books in order to frame Hong, so that one of them would be dead and the other in jail, ultimately fulfilling his revenge.

 

^ this is what I think the story line might be

 

although, I'm not sure whether Jang decided to work in the gallery after his sister's suicide or before it

 

and I suspect that Shim also behaved cruelly towards Jang's sister

Just finished watching chinese subbed version of crime scene and here's my take of the murder: 

 

 

Firstly, I actually guessed the right murderer after eliminating hani and park jiyoon with obviously no link to the murder and observing facial cues from the detective and security guard's test of guilt. Thought it was very unlike jang dongmin to sit quietly there as others accuse him as well.

 

My take of the story is:

Soyu used to date Artist Hong but was dumped by him. As a result, she attempted to commit suicide once but was successfully stopped by Jang manager. However, Jang manager injured his right hand in the process and could not continue his career as an artist but decided to become a manager instead. Jang manager decided to work in close relations to Artist Hong, not for revenge or the grudge he had for him but rather to try to get close to him and perhaps try to patch things up for his sister which explains the close relationship he forged with Artist Hong. 

 

Jang manager found out Artist Hong was dating victim. Workwise, he performed well and was in Director Park's plans to take over the art gallery. All was well until for no apparent reason, his major customer (Ha VIP) stopped buying art pieces through him and bought from the victim instead. Jang manager was also in debt and probably heard rumors that the art gallery was going to go to victim instead of him. Frustrated, he decided to scour victim's workplace in search of proof of underhand methods the victim could have employed to steal his major customer. He got into a quarrel with the victim. When he saw how victim immediately stopped her yelling after security guard came in, he suspected a possible relationship between victim and security guard and dug further, managing to find photograph proof. 

 

Jang manager then received his sister's suicide note. That was his breaking point. He plotted to murder victim and make Artist Hong, the one guy who caused his sister's suicide, the scapegoat. Jang manager sent the photograph to the victim, making victim anxious and immediately fire the security guard the day before her wedding. He saw security guard leave the place and called to make sure he's not in the office. With the entire art gallery empty except for him and the victim, he arranged to meet with the victim over settlement of the photo and killed her using Hong's knife and wrapped it up using Hong's coat before dumping it in the flower pot. He put the photograph in one of Hong's book to make him the scapegoat. 

 

Yup that's what I have so far, not very clear in terms of the timing and whether Jang made an alibi for himself, would probably need to rewatch the portion to catch it. 

 

Overall, this first episode was quite satisfying. I feel the season 2 cast is doing a better job as compared to season 1. Can't wait for episode 2!

i don't think the decisive evidence that the criminal cant neglect hadn't been found by players. honestly on last wednesday i got the correct, Dealer Jang for his look right after guard kim said he found the murder weapon. but without his look, i couldnt have succeed finding the criminal...

at first i thought she was finding a person she knows, but it didnt mean; she tried to find the picture. the taken picture of shim hwa na and guard kim in bedroom. i think she mustve been surprised becase she thought that only she and guard kim knew their love. the picture was mailed to shim hwa na's phone by the criminal(dealer jang, and the fact that the picture was e-mailed to her phone can be found in the scene where dealer jang solved the password her phone. and he showed artist hong the picture to make him angry to guard kim) so she could stand by the wedding picture. and dealer wait for her to come to place he intentioned and murder her.

 

but for dealer jang to make it in his plan of murder, he has to be able to control guard kim. it's because he only stay at night in art gallery for safety. so he needs to make him out of the place. this part is unknown. and i don't know how he get the guard out of the place. think about it. only calling him on the phone can't make there are 2 persons-dealer and shim- left in the gallery. by phone, dealer should indicate something to guard kim..... im curious.

 

and i also wonder his reason for killing her. based on his emotion, he shouldve murder artist hong instead of shim hwa na. why?? if i were dealer jang, i wouldve killed hong and make her the murderer instead of me.

 

 

so with 2 reasons- unknown his method to get him out of the gallery, and his wrong target to murder, i think there are somethings important that havent been revealed by production team.

 

honestly even thought there is the whole story event, we cant get the truth behind the scene.

 

but on the other side, i think there is one method to find the desicive evidence. i told that the murderer sent the e-mail of the picture of guard kim and shim hwana put on the wall near the picture of wedding dress. i think if they investigated who sent the e-mail, they could get the criminal  although there is no reallly answer if the criminal sent it with not his account

2. what is you deduction of whole story?? - the process of the murder and why the criminal killed shim hwa na??

Usually the audience nails the criminal, even if the cast does not but both the audience and most of the cast were completely bamboozled by how good Dongmin was at sticking to his alibi and deflecting blame. He's gonna be very strong this season.

 

Jang Jin continously being wrong is hilarious but he has the right mindset. He was wrong for the exact same reason he was off in Episode 0: He does too much tiying clues together but doesn't actually look for clues. He misses the obvious in the process of trying to guess the obscure. 

 

Hani was cute but she got too focused on a single clue's oddity and that also caught her in the same trap Jang Jin is stuck in.

 

Jinho has the same issue that I have in Mafia games. Even when he is innocent, he has mannerisms, body language and speech that screams "criminal". He's the equivalent of the citizen who always dies in the middle of the game when the mafia leads dry up, there is no one else to vote for and makes the vote for him worse when he's questioned

i think i remember glancing at the email that the message was sent from, but im pretty sure it was some random email address. maybe they could have looked further into it, but i dont think it's usually how they find the criminals cause it's too easy a method.

jang jin did suspect jang dong min though. it's just that hani persuaded him too well at the end LMAO. i think he goes by his gut more than anything tbh
