This is seriously hard  I think I'd need to know where each piece of evidence came from, and there might be some sort of hint in the writing around it, but I don't understand Korean so   I think right now Femacca's two guesses sound the most possible to me.

 

 

I had a brainfart moment.  In the end of episode 2 I didn't even bother to pick a criminal.  I just wanted to see how the contestants came to their conclusions lol.   Maybe next week's episode I'll put on my detective hat.

I have been so guilty of this with past cases, but I find every time they reveal the criminal and it feels like it comes out of nowhere, I go, "man, maybe I could've figured it out if I thought about it more!!"

Ah I can't wait to find out what the real story is! It's tough because they missed so much evidence. I'm also a bit conflicted about the police officer's uniform... it COULD be a red herring and not actually matter at all. And it's just actually, he got drunk and misplaced it  but the whole time Guard Kim was saying he couldn't remember anything, I thought that was very odd, almost as if someone drugged him (but if that's the case wouldn't we usually find traces of the drug somewhere?)

 

 

Can anyone watching the show live reveal how Case 1 happened? But I don't want to be spoiled on Case 2 haha, like can someone put it in a separate spoiler once they find out pls?

Just watched Case 2 without subs, w/o any spoilers, I have to say I am loving the re-inclusion of the hands-on crime scene search and the discussion/accusations between players. Definitely much more dynamic than Case 1, and a lot more fun!

Dealer Jang seriously thought out this murder so much... I never thought this case could have such a well thought out murder  I agree about the decisive evidence. It was a very tough case for the contestants, and sooo much evidence pointed to Artist Hong. Hopefully next case is more even! Well it's already out but I won't spoil until I get subs haha

Thanks for sharing! I honestly appreciate the details the production crew goes into filming the teasers and re-enactments. The teasers are reminiscient of mini-dramas.

she is 26 years old. she was confident believing that she is the center in the world because she has been focused for her beautiful face.

she attend 31st beauty contest as the representative for "2nd one hair shop".

 

judge jang( 45 y.o.)/jang jin

he did succeed in resort business in age of 25.

he is currently rep. of <white tree> resort, super famous resort in korea, called crown prince in field of resort. the contest was held in the white tree resort, he has been the foreman of a jury.

 

 

owner oh(41 y.o.)/ oh hyeonkyong

she runs the 1st one hair shop. she was the 1st winner of 16st beauty contest. she made 5 1st-winners of the beauty contest by systemic training and with her good sight.

 

 

baekjo ha(24 y.o.)/ hani

she is a sttaf of the 1st one staff that owner oh runs

 

 

beautygirl park(26 y.o.)/Park ji yoon

she is a contestant of <31st beauty contest> she was scout by owner oh while drinking cups of coffee in nocheon cafe

she has stayed with hyeri for the contest during 1 month for the contest.

he is a reporter in entertainment part, <bispatch>, the hottest newspaper

after getting into bispatch, he wrote news dramatically, so he was known to public.

Because it would hurt more if tragedy hits you when you're at the top. One day you feel like you've got everything right and things are going well then suddenly BAM everything falls to pieces. This is exactly what's happening to JDM right now. He's finally gaining more popularity and suddenly he got hated because someone brought back an old issue that's been done and dusted.

 

Sorry for being a little dramatic.

 

The new ep was really good. I was hooked to the screen the entire time.

I'm glad they went back to the original format - the evidence gathered are more organised.

 

 

 

I voted for the wife because I thought she's the one with the most motive (get the huge insurance money then continue the affair with the Bookstore guy). Worker Kim didn't have a lot of motive to kill him, since he needs the money from the Chicken shop owner. I forgot anger can be a powerful motive too.

how did you understand 2nd case without subs? it's great~!! but motivation is dangerous. considering logic and evidences we have to deduce who is criminal. almost everyone has the motivation to commit crime. in case of yesterday hong's methodology was good. by deleting who is the least suitable to criminal- in this case who is the least co-worker to make false accident to get insurance-, he made it choosing the true criminal.

 

it's sorry to park ji yoon cuz she could have caught the criminal. because it's her that found how the victim was dead: at first he tried to be hit on purpose to get insurance although his plan was illegal  but was killed by the criminal. but she lost the true criminal at fianally cuz she was possessed by others' motivation.

 

i don't mean that motivation is not important. but we should not too much consider the motivations.

The great thing about Korean shows is they have the texts as well so even if you didn't catch what they were saying you can read the texts. It really helps me to understand the context.

It wasn't something that was rash, but a murder he had been thinking about for a loooong time, spending time with his enemy, watching him be successful, and holding in his hatred for so long just for the opportunity. It seems like an overly complicated scheme to me.  I could see how his sister's death would make him want to commit murder, but it takes a very unique personality to make a plan so complex to do it.

Tip from me is to keep listening to Korean (radio/songs/shows). Doesn't matter if you don't understand because in time you'll grasp the sentence structure. And practice by watching raw shows. Before I had to pause every 1 second to look up words in dictionary too but you'll get better as you expand your Korean vocabs. Fighting!

I thought it is not unthinkable to wait for so long for revenge. The hatred that has simmered for years gets more intense, the preparations more meticulous, hesitation to execute the actual killing non-existent. Many Chinese pugilistic movies centre around "ten years is not too late to exact revenge", and Korean classics <Oldboy> and <Sympathy for Lady Vengeance> tell the same. Lifting someone to the peak of ecstasy then push him to plummet to the deepest end of the pit just when he least expects it or just about to experience the brim of happiness...mmmmm, the quintessential revenge plot. (oh dear I sound like a writer for psycho maniac novels, haha)

honestly when i think about JDM's incident, an expression came up in my brain: 부관참시(剖棺斬å±, boo kwan cham si )

 

that means to cut a criminal's neck one more time even though he/she has been dead, so he/she is actually a corpse, while pulling the corpse from the grave.

 

i thought this word because JDM already did apology for his statement about 1 or 2 years ago. but some netizen attacked him and required him to apology again and get out of 6th man project of IC.

 

I don't think he is a bad guy. searching what i have wrote on this forum, you could find he did kind thing to oh hyeon min(who is semi-winner in the black garnet of the genius).
