I'm sad that I know this thread too late :( but now I've found it, I can't stop the frenzy over CS2. I've been monitoring Kong since The Genius, n can't help but fall over his character. His pronunciation is somehow cute too haha.

I was patiently waiting for sub when I saw spoiler on twitter so now I know who the criminal is. That person really is amazing. Can't wait to see how marvelous that person portrayed the role, that most of the casts voted wrongly

This was an easy episode as soon as it was told that

Jinho was the only one who had a tight alibi when the body was dropped from height, as proven by the security guard. Premeditated murders that needed timed device to be set up meant that the murderer needed an alibi for that particular timing. This case was similar to one that appeared in Detective Conan's "The Illustrator Murder". The body was secured by rope over the belt loop too, except in Conan there was an additional mattress that concealed the body and that the rope was released not by burner but at the door by a courier whose arrival had been timed by the murderer who had a solid alibi then.

 

I was disappointed that Neighbour Jang solved the case and Massage Park found the crucial evidence of burned rope yet they were unable to piece together the whole case. Neighbour Jang and Jinho were the only ones who could go into Neighbour Jang's room. If Neighbour Jang was the murderer, he wouldn't have used his own rope or hidden the incriminating evidence in his own shoes. Moreover, he and the rest of the cast did not have a solid alibi when the body was dropped, which means they had no reason to use a timed device. The only person who could access Neighbour Jang's room to use the rope and incriminate him as well as had the motive to use a timed device to produce a solid alibi when the body was dropped is Jinho. Park Jiyoon and her Venn diagram is sorely missed.

This is exactly what I thought while watching case 8!

 

 

The case was similar, unlike the proof that was so weak. If I'm not mistaken, 안ë„하세요 님 pointed that out (that the proof was not decisive enough to pinpoint Jinho as the murderer). The only proof significant enough was his solid alibi. There are several cases in Detective Conan that people with perfect alibi is the most suspicious, that's why Conan tend to try to break that alibi. I'm kinda disappointed when PJY & JYH instantly changed their direction after hearing that guard supporting Jinho's alibi. But then, even after digging there's no decisive proof that points to Jinho. That rope in the shoes could be redirected to his father, as well as the alcohol burner, since the access to his tools are open to anyone (no lock or whatsoever).

Amazing episode! I was flipping between the suspects throughout the whole episode. At the end, I was so fixated on Colleague Kwon because Dongmin's explanation really convinced me... And then Park Jiyoon found the conclusive evidence against Fairy Ha at the end. Wow.

It's interesting to see that JJ actually has the most correct guesses. He's certainly brilliant, it's just he doesn't have the ability to convince others. LMFAO!!!! So the GUEST are the only ones who don't get caught when their the criminal!!! The main cast has to step up their game! And Jang Jin has been lucking out so far, he needs to be the criminal at least once! lol

Xiumin was caught once when he played Singer Xi^^ but other than that, yes, no other guests were caught when they were criminal (including Xiumin when he played Manager Xi).

How could Jinho missed the fact that the cabin owner was a Jang (Jang Dong Min's father)? With the fact revealed, it's pretty obvious that JDM knew the secret tunnel. Jinho needs to step up his game.

It looks so fun. I'm very curious of how they act like themselves since it's obviously easier to act like someone else in such case. Ah and anyway, since the roles are assigned by the production team, it means that they (prod team) selected the criminal, right? The thought must be done very carefully since the detective is the real deal.

No, he never be a criminal until case 10 (ep 11). We'll see about it this night, whether he'll be innocent again or not. For once I really want him to be the bad guy haha
