You raised a good point of how Dealer Jang made Guard Kim leave before he committed his crime. I thought it through and still couldn't come up with a way. After all, Dealer Jang would not have been able to control Shim Hwana to sack Guard Kim on that day. Dealer Jang could have drugged the soju (left half empty) to make sure Guard Kim would not wake up if he came back early but how would he be able to get him to drink it? He would not have been able to dictate how drunk Guard Kim would be in the first place.

 

I thought he chose to kill Shim Hwana instead of Artist Hong because he managed to get incriminating evidence of Shim first. Also she could have raised his anger a few days before when they quarrelled. I wonder if the quarrel also started because she insulted his sister since she knew who Soyou was. That would have been a trigger for him to kill. He probably hid in the storeroom in case someone else came. The door to the storeroom is inside the gallery on the right. When Shim Hwana came into the gallery, he sneaked out and then stabbed her.

 

 

 

I think Dealer Jang really drugged the soju and then called Guard Kim at 7:40 pm to check if he's already asleep. And then, he mailed the picture to the victim at 7:55 and commenced his plan to kill her. He probably overheard Shim Hwana and Guard Kim arguing and figured out Guard Kim will be drinking.

 

 

Gaaah! I think I need to watch the episode one more time and analyze the clues more seriously.

Episode 5/ Case 4 was a fun episode. I like it how all of the suspects have a "love love" relationship with the victim. My first guess was it's either Overseas Jang or the Boyfriend. They both showed violent tendencies. By the time the Boyfriend said that he was over her and suddenly accepted that they are over, I was sure he was the killer. I don't think anyone can be over with a relationship that fast especially when you are already on your plans of marriage. Add on it that he was an obsessive and perfectionist boyfriend. Keeping in mind that only the killer can lie, that statement of his is a big giveaway. But still, Jang Dongmin is a good player. He managed to keep pushing the blame away from him.

 

I'm a fan of Xiumin and I'm so happy he did well on his first episode. He tried his best looking for those evidences, even Bestie Hong's suicide attempt. It was funny seeing how he never let go that ribbon.
