I have yet to finish episode 2, but I loved episode 1. I haven't seen season 1 so I'm catching up on the concept lol.

I had a brainfart moment.  In the end of episode 2 I didn't even bother to pick a criminal.  I just wanted to see how the contestants came to their conclusions lol.   Maybe next week's episode I'll put on my detective hat.

This show reminds me of that classic game (turned movie) "Clue".  I was thinking what would be really cool is if an episode or next season they include viewer participation.  Like the viewers can make comments or text things they spot or clues and one of the cast (like the detective) takes action.  Maybe the PD's can place easter eggs too for viewers to win or something.  A little more interactive than voting on suspects.

Unfortunately that isn't possible because Crime Scene is pre-recorded, not live. I believe the actual filming of one episode alone takes several hours to film.

Ok, this may come off as a silly question, but is episode 2 the one with the director as the detective while the other cast members played out their different roles?  (referring to the painting crime)

It really depends on whether u consider the first episode being broadcasted as episode 0 or episode 1. But yes the painting crime is the first case for crime scene season 2

 

Thanks!  I guess I'm falling behind then.  Is the beauty contest (below) the 3rd crime?  I only saw the painting crime (and the episode where the cast was introduced and they their deduction sheets were scored).

Ok thanks!  I guess I'm behind then lol.  The next episode for me to see is the one with Park Ji-Yoon as the detective.  I had a feeling since I saw a preview of what looks like a guy wrapped up from head to toe and bound to a chair.

I just watched the 2nd case (Fried Chicken Place) and it was so good!  There were so many things going on compared to the 1st case.  I had my suspicions early on and guessed correctly (on the motive but not exactly how the crime went down), but changed my mind at the very end thinking nah it couldn't be lol.  I'm a bonehead. 

 

It's funny to watch the viewer votes change back and forth.  Just thought I'd comment on that lol.  I'll most likely re-watch it for the cast interactions.  I have a strategy on guessing the murderer in the 3rd case (Beauty pageant).  I'll pay attention to the evidence as usual but this time will pay closer attention to the group interactions as they reveal the evidence.  I believe the back and forth will reveal things in the characters that may give away clues.  Let's see if this strategy will work lol.

The more I learn about Hani, especially in her studies, I'm not surprised at all.  She seems the type who puts effort into the things she does.  I'm glad she's in Crime Scene 2.  She fits in perfectly with the rest of the cast.

yes. i felt what you felt from hani, i thinks she is the kind of person who put his/her effort onto what to do. and i think that she seems to put more and more effort and run for her goal, more and more she feels she is behind. i mean her spirit( what i mean is 근성 in here) is very strong.

 

i will give her my belief.

 

actually she has asked if she learns deduction skills or develops her skill of deduction more in her instagram. she has been answered that she should read deduction comics(which was young boy detective kim da i chi). so the picture was uploaded that she carries the comics i mentioned in (). i guess that she should have tried more and more to get real criminal

 

tomorrow is the day 3rd murder case will be aired

 

as you may know if you saw my translation of brief of 3rd case, each player was given the character whose age fits his/her age except park ji yoon.( her character's age is 10 years younger than her actual age ã…‹ã…‹)

 

so i wonder how well they play their role

 

Oh!  Thanks for the insight.  I strongly believe in deduction skills too.  It's a skill we use in life.  As for thinking "detective", it's also good to think outside the box.  To know a criminal mind is to think like a criminal.  It's a matter of psychology, being able to put yourself in another person's shoes.  It's not an easy skill either.  It's a skill that takes years, and sometimes a lifetime to develop.  I hear Hani wants (or wanted) to be a psychologist.  What a perfect show for her to be involved in.  She can apply what she knows in psychology towards each case.

 

I'm even more excited to watch the 3rd case.  I'm so behind, can't really engage in the plot discussions since I wait for the English subs lol.   It's ok though.  I have something to look forward to.

Yeah, it is. I'm thankful someone is subbing this series.  While I wait I'll watch season 1 since I found out that NS Yoon-G was in it! I wish DramaFever (not sure if you catch it) subbed Crime Scene (and a bunch of other shows, but that's another discussion ).

I personally prefer Bumdi's sub for these shows (Crime Scene, The Genius), because his sub is high-quality and better than other places. Besides, he is a passionate Hong Jinho's fan, I'm sure he will try his best to finish the series because there Kong's in it

Jinho is a legendary gamer!   Yeah, I like Bumdi's (wonder if a fan of Willy Wonka too) subs.  Easy to follow and nicely formatted.  Although I'm itching for the subs, I can wait knowing we'll get quality subs.  *I'll still refresh often lol. I can only hope haha.
