Why do Sones care so much about views?

First, they petitioned to get Gee to 100M views, then their other videos IGAB and The Boys and now they're petitioning Mr.Taxi?

I mean, is this the only thing they can brag about with SNSD? Why don't they promote their actual "music" instead of views? We all know a lot of those views come from Samchon/Ahjussi fans anyways...I don't get it...why?

? Kpop fans stopped caring about views religiously for a while now. I mean its nice to see high views, but it's not like chaotic like before. (Well maybe with the middle schoolers its still a big thing)

It's just an achievement that is very uncommon. SM/SNSD get a lot of money from it as well. So why not?

Anyone would feel happy if their bias get the most views  We feel happy with it and of course SNSD also does. So that's ONE of the things we can do to show our biases love and support so that's why.

Which Fandom doesnt. Don't read too much into the youtube comments. There's always a comment petioning in to get to the next millionth in every idol groups mv. I ve seen many. And honestly. If your group had all these highest views the Fandom would want to continue to maintain it keep bragging rights, who wouldnt

Ofc all fandoms care about views, but you don't see as much desperation with other fandoms. Even showing my non-kpop friends kpop MVs and all they notice in SNSD MVs are people begging for views...

Yeah "snapfinger" (an awesome youtube fellow) and many other fellow sones on youtube do this, specially with fx, kara and some 2ne1 videos. 

It's an awesome achievement to surpass 100 millions in youtube at least for a kpop video so why not?

Refering to your hashtags, im pretty sure the mods here are against sones. Those thread about Snsd and Jessica stretches to 7/8 pages before they get locked. (Hang on...am I gonna get warning points for stating the truth?)
