I love it when Taguchi is harmonizing and I think he shines when harmonizing live. He was really great in their White Lovers performance.

He definitely has a lot of conflicting feelings towards Taguchi. As a KAT-TUN member he feels betrayed and cannot accept it, yet as a friend he tries to understand him and support him. And I'm sure its hard to see Taguchi under so much pressure too :(

 

Nakamaru and Ueda are so comfortable around each other!

 

I think Ueda has plenty of fond memories with Koki. He speaks of him quite fondly, compared to Jin. Probably because 6-nin KT weren't as close then. 

 

Haha Taguchi is like the only members who's not too prideful to openly say he loves KT (and Koki too).

 

I like how he described his and the members' reactions tothe news of Taguchi leaving. And how he wouldn't mind just having a gathering with all 6 of them the very next day xD

Unlock is a great a-side. It reminds me of some of their older stuff, and yet it also reminds me 4nin singles like In Fact. Hmm, it’s very KAT-TUNnish. They are growling in an a-side. Well at least, I’ve heard slight growling. I thought I’d only hear it in b-sides. /crying  

Greatest Journey is such a jam. It has that TameTabi happy-go-lucky vibe to it. No, I don’t like it. I LOVE it! I might play this more often than Unlock. lol.

 

Jet is addictive~ I want to watch a live performance of this song. It’s like an upbeat version of Soldier.

 

Honesty is an ok song for now. I love their harmonization in this song.

 

Ame ni Saku Ai , Yoru ni Naku Ai gives me a Kinki Kids vibe. I like it. I imagine Nakamaru liking singing this song.

I’m so curious about the sales for this single. It’s a critical period since it’s their last prior to hiatus and at the same time, some Taguchi fans might have skipped on buying this single. I hope the sales won’t be as low (or lower) than Tragedy.

Yay for a new Kame movie, but from what I’ve read, the shooting starts mid-March. Isn’t that their preparation period for their concert? Heh. Prepare to see double eyebags on Kame during their concert.

 

So far, these are the members’ new individual projects:

Kame – new movie for 2017

Nakamaru – new MC for Nippon no Deban

Ueda – none yet

Had no time to properly listen to the single till now ;-; (and I'm on the train to school...)

 

I really really like Unlock! It's the first time in a while (or ever) that I like their a-side more than their b-sides. The feel of the song does remind me of In Fact. It sounds "fashionable" in a way. The whole song is great!

 

GREATEST JOURNEY is so much better than expected!! From the previews, I thought it was just an okay song but the official version sounds really nice! I especially love the beginning of the song and Kame's ad libs towards the end. I think I'll be replaying this a lot, it just makes me so happy!

 

I think Jet and GREATEST JOURNEY tie as my second favs in this single. I love the beat and I love their EDM-driven songs a lot these days. This is like a darker, more aggressive version of Fantastic Planet! And the contrast between the fast-paced verses and drawn chorus is nice.

 

Ah Honesty reminds me of why I like their ballads so much. Vocally they sound great, and makes me glad to be their fan. This song kinda seem like something a Japanese girl group would release!

 

I agree with Ueda that Ame ni Saku Ai, Yoru ni Naki Ai is something a johnnys fan would like more than a KT fan. The verses reminds me of Kinki Kids but some parts of the chorus reminds me of this Arashi song! I like it though!

It's really sweet for SMAP fans to buy this single. I was surprised that some even bought all 3 versions.

Why're there so many fans surprised and happy over Unlock's first day sales? Isn't it due to the photo cards and how this single has 4 versions?

On another note, recently I think that while KT doesn't have any stand out amazing singers (like Tegoshi in NEWS and Ohno in Arashi), as a group their vocals are above average no? I would say the same thing for their looks too. I always see Japanese johnnys fans use this phrase, å¹³å‡å€¤é«˜ã„, for KT's vocals and looks

Technically I got into KT when they were 5 though it was their 6-nin videos that I first watched. Jin's leaving didn't affect me that much too. Its more like I wished I was a fan during their 6-nin days cause they were so big and wild haha. And sometimes I wonder about the 'what could have beens' if Jin was still around
